[QUOTE="Rational Madman, post: 3927255, member: 227817"] You literally can't label my playstyle. When I began poker I was an absolute rock, I had no idea what I was doing and broke even (yes I did break even from my very first session onwards) but then I realized that I'd never ever profit as I leaked too much via BB and that was on FREE poker site names replaypoker.com where I am username 'genuineliar' but literally haven't played there for months. Anyway, aside from the fact that I am a rock who changed his ways immensely, I will explain to you some other mistakes you have made here. I am an extremely opportunistic player but I am not on the tight side. My VPIP (which is percentage that I voluntarily put money in the pot preflop) is averaging ~40% which is very loose compared to the average shark which would probably be around 21-24%. I will literally play 7/5 if I believe there's low chance of a preflop raise just to confuse people. So I am opportunistic, I am not "tight" I'm again not entirely loose. A typical loose player may well have around 50% VPIP which is looser than me by a bit but unlike them I make it work so well. Because I only ever play no-limit holdem rather than limit forms of poker, I make my exploitative playstyle cause my upswings to be more than my downswings frequently. I used to sit on tables and turn my buy-in into 7x its amount if I sat there long enough. that's how good I can be but the problem of course is when Ig et to 4x the buyin some other player with 5x the buyin badbeats me or coolers me and bam it's all gone do I've come to the rigid habit of leaving the table if I have 2x'd my buyin and there's someone else on the table with a stack that can threaten mine if they shove or call my shove. So I'm not really "loose" but I'm definitely not your run of the mill tight player. this is the easiest player to profit from. If they are passive and fold a lot, you can steal blinds so easily from them if you are positioned to their left (anti-clockwise). If they are the loose-passive type who barely raises and just calls, you completely control the pot size and how much you are risking, this is the single best form of fish and the one type of player where textbook TAG poker actually works efficiently against them. You really don't understand aggressive players. They are not at all the ones who get carried away they DO THE CARRYING AWAY. I am aggressive (AF 55% but this changes all the time. See my post-flop aggression and even preflop raising are very randomised, this is intentional stupidity on my part because I love when people can truly not figure me out regardless of the quality of their HUD. If I am on a table with very loose players or headsup with an all-in maniac, of course I will become a rock but not otherwise! I am literally all four poles depending on my opponent. Most fish these days are either TP-sided or LAG-sided so I exploit those 2 fish differently. Most sharks these days are TAG but this makes them too easy to read, especially with VPIP of like 18% and PFR of 4% you just KNOW from preflop how strong a hand they have based on what they do.
