Nothing wrong with the breaks IMO. For me it was one of the best upgrades FT made.

Since I'm multitabling STTs / MTTs it's great to have a break once an hour.

Try playing 6 or 7 tournaments at the same time w/o synchronized breaks. It sucks!! (or like some of the MTT regs.,... play 15-20 mtt's at the same time). Trust me.. synchronized breaks are a good thing.

Synchronised breaks are a great idea, imo. I can finally spend my poker evenings like a normal human, come out of my room, get a snack and say hello to my family occasionally. Used to be that I was glued to my chair for ~5 hours straight because I was playing more than one game and the breaks didn`t coincide.ync.

I love them!!! Just as everyone else said - if you are playing multiple tournaments it is great to know that once an hour you can go to the bathroom, kitchen, let the dogs out, etc without missing a hand.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

This is why I love them

hate them especially when the tourny just starts and your on break within 5 minutes

Do you hate that, or
do you hate it more when you have to go pee and you cant cause your stuck playing multiple tournies and the only way your going to relieve yourself is bust in the tournies, or bust in your pants.

I am so glad that there are synchronized breaks now...after a hour of sipping a Crystal Light Lemonade, I am ready to take that break. And I can fix my cat's food, or mine. :D

I'm in the camp that really appreciates synchronized breaks. I was irritated by them when I only played one table, but now that I've been working on playing more they're a godsend. I like being able to take a breather from all the tables I'm on.

Yes! Synchronized breaks. Even better when between different sites (I wouldn't mind if everyone went to a 55 past the hour standard).

If you are just playing one game then it does not matter when the break is. However if you are playing more than one game it is a big help for them all to break at the same time.

Like was mention before is great when are multitabling, is kind of wird when only play one game and game stops shortly after start.

But is waaaaay better than when UB/AP have those 30 min. breaks, and have 2 breaks in a hour.

THAT was anoying, glad they ended changed also to synchronized.

Breaks during play.

Dewmz said:
Personally, I hate 'em. It's annoying getting in to a game, playing 5 hands.. and then going on break. It's pointless. But this is just my opinion.

How do you feel about it?

I will be 73 this month and if you are from the younger generation, you most likely do not have to make pit stops. I like the breaks personally. If I have to make a wash my hands break before the game gives me the scheduled break, I will sit out and get back quick as possible. I'll even sometimes write a short chat that I have to wash my hands and hopefully they know what I understand. At my age, I need pit stops more often than some. It is a good question. Hope you get some good answers.

While the most tournies I have going at once is 2. I still like the the breaks every hour besides the fact its good to get up and stretch, it also like a marking stone in a tourny so you can remember how well your doing in a tourny. Granted tournies that start mide hour the first break is fast coming but when you hit your 3rd break, you like OK IM in 2 and 1/2 hrs and know that one more hour and break and then you should be very close to getting near the end of a toruny (depending on the #'s) I know in a pokerstars tourny there might be 8 breaks. If you do well in the UB GTD torunies, your looking at 5-6 breaks. SO I consider them a marking milestone. I REALLY HATE BUSTING OUT the hand right before break or the first hand back from break

I dont mind the breaks, i just hate when youre waiting for all tables to finish hands and it takes 2 mins, then you only have 3 mins left on break

I take the breaks when they come. It gives me a few minutes to clear my head, take a bio break, grab a beer...whatever. Besides, I just use my laptop to remote into my desktop if I need to leave my computer room. And the most tables I've played at one time is 3 so far which easily fits onto my laptop screen.

Synchronized breaks are one of the best online poker inventions ! I think Full Tilt Poker did it first, then PokerStars. In the past you never had a real break, when you played a lot of MTT`s or Multitable-SNG´s. As a mtt-lover i´m a huge fan of the synchronized breaks. :D
