When is the best time to play poker?

I think the best time to play is at night for various reasons. If your opponents are tired or have been drinking they will be at a disadvantage. In the evening there tend to be more recreational players as well.

Usually in the afternoons are best for me. Not much of a morning person so i couldn't really see myself playing poker. Unless if course there were a specific tournament that i wanted to play that started in the morning. If so, I would definitely need coffee....and a smoke lol

The best time to play is when you have LOTs of free time to spare. The last thing you want is to get really far in a cheap tournament, just to have to leave when the prizes get significant.

I'd have to say late on Friday and Saturday nights. Casual players who only play weekends and many are juiced on alcohol.

I find anytime after dinner

hard to answer though. will depend on where the poker room is running from and what time majority of players play at.

I usually play when most people are off work for the day. The nitty regulars play during the day and the recreational players play after work and weekends. I find those times have softer games.
