Is poker the better for this. Hell, yeh. It was a once in a lifetime incident and Chris was lucky enough to be the person involved. Also lucky to have the name that he has. Imagine if his name was Smith or Jones....it just wouldn’t feel the same. However, poker certainly has developed from those early internet days and who knows what might have happened in what way if someone else had won that game, someone with a long standing reputation in poker? Not a lot maybe, but soon after something would have happened because if not Mr Moneymaker, the whole of poker would have moved on differently as the timeline would have shifted and who knows what could have followed.
