Who Are the Best Poker Players in the World, Actually

Phill Ivey. I used to think Daniel Negranu was certainly one of the best, but now I'm not so sure. Yes he is very entertaining to watch, and yes he gets good information from his opponents by talking to them but the guy needs to learn to fold

You just never see Ivey making mistakes. Like ever.

I think its impossible to say the best "poker" player as there is so many disciplines.

While that's definitely true, it's also true that Ivey is probably at least top-five in the world in every discipline.

Tournaments, cash games, full ring, heads up, hold 'em, stud, mixed games, he kills in everything.

There are several players who are very good, but I think everyone has his style, his skill, his touch of grace etc etc, if I had to say for one in my opinion I would say John Juanda, "JJ", is one of The most complete and respectable Texas Holdem poker players on the world circuit
