 Also I have always followed Josh Arieh since his 3rd place finish at WSOP main event that Raymer won - thought he was the best player at the final table and throughout ESPN coverage which coincided with me really starting to follow poker on TV.    I think Negreanu   Doyle Brunson and Arieh  are interesting writers on gambling whether it be twitter or blogs and they all seem to "get it"  - by that I mean they realize how lucky they are and are positive ambassadors for the game of poker.

Phil Ivey is not a normal human being obv.   and I root for him more than any other poker player  but I wouldn't cast him as a great ambassador for the game -   His willingness to gamble for superhuman stakes  may cause an average human to bust their bankroll many times trying to emulate him   plus to this point  Ivey Poker  has been a failure.   No one will ever  cast Sammy Farha as a poker ambassador but if there was a poker tv show with Farha and Ivey on every day I would never watch anything else - if you are a gambler you have to love watching Sammy.
  The worst  images out there for poker are Hellmuth and Matusow imo - just horrible behavior so many times  people just accept it - also  the hundreds of  online  kids who can't get a haircut or  buy a decent shirt for televised final table appearances.    Quick shout out to Tony Dunst and Marcel Luske for their sartorial style  --  if Bond 18s blog is to believed  dressing well plays nicely with the ladies too.....
