Why are higher limit tables more difficult?

I am not sure that higher limits cause tuffer game and better players. Sure, the money is bigger and decisions are more serious but on the other hand you can count that those people should play more 'by the book'. You won't meet that often call on all in before the flop with 5 and 6 suited. You can coun't more on some 'normal' type of game but sure, likr everywhere, there are fishes and maniacs but not in the same number like on micro or medium tables.

This x 1million. You would get absolutely annihilating playing nl100 for a week im sure of it, never mind 10/20 when you see those guys getting in TT vs 44 all in preflop, NONE of them are making money from it, just breaking even vs each other. People playing 10/20 are not just rich, 99.5% of them are insanely good poker players and understand the maths of all the spots far better than any of us noobs that play small stakes and lower do.

have to disagree here. the higher limits are tougher games and much better players, and the difference is not small.

i have also heard some who take your logic a bit further and suggest that because at higher limits, people play it more by the book, therefore it is more predictable and easier to win money. the opposite is true, at higher levels, the players are better and are more unpredictable and are more difficult to win money from. they cannot be counted on to 'play it by the book', and who knows what that even means. a fish or maniac at low stakes who plays crazy and donks in their $ on bad hands, this is not the same as unpredictable, in fact this player is more predictable and easier to make money off of.

Over time you will lose....

However it is possible to go on a lucky streak and win big on one session. So when you are feeling lucky as hell go for it then drop back down with your massive bank roll.
