I'll lay you 10 to 1 that all of the people who always claim they can't win because a "do*k" always catches their AA or KK with a 72os or 82os are just..... "exaggerating". Assuming you know that no one always win a hand just because they have the best of it before the flop (or anywhere else unless you flop the stone cold nuts or the opposition folds) There would be no reason to be mad because net net you'd be a winning player. It seems to me that the people who do not have the simple discipline to not comment on every ones play, call the opposition names, get frustrated to the point they can't play just don't have the discipline it takes to be good at this game. These guys like Hellmuth, Devilfish, Shekan are just punks - they can always be found yakkin' at players who don't return the favor and/or they calculate gives them an edge. One of the most impressive showings I saw online was watching Greg Raymer and Hevad Kahn. They were both playing on Stars and a pack of clowns (who have never won any money of significance) were calling them everything from "Tubby" ,"you can't play" and a bunch of things I'd feel stupid even repeating here. Raymer and Kahn went on to methodically bust and embarass each and every namecaller. Raymer said, after busting the last one, "I'm going to report you for chat abuse". Had it been the wild west he would have blown the smoke from his six-gun, twirled then holstered it. In my younger days I used to be a fighter - my dad was a golden gloves boxer and the little town I grew up in - people punched each other out. Now I'm older, wiser, know it's stupid and childish unless protecting you and your family BUT STILL I'll argue with some of these punks online because they are riding someone who is too mature to bother with them. THAT IS STUPID ON MY PART PERIOD!! I don't get "mad" otherwise I'd think I was mentally imbalanced - lol - I just don't mind mixing it up with knuckleheads and all to often that "willingness" sure does not give positive effect to my game. Hopefully I'll mature out of it. BUT I'm not going to blame it on them because I know better, apparently they don't and usually they're out and I'm in. I'm no shrink but I think those who can't control themselves are missing an important element of poker and life - discipline and more often than not they get busted. Most often (not always) the good players do not engage in these antics. Of course everyone who loses is dissapointed at the loss but that is not the same thing as when you who can't contain yourself, get frustrated, go on tilt, want to quit, sit in the losers lounge namecalling for an hour, claim the game is rigged and on and on and on then write about it over and over and over again - you have seen the enemy and he is you. The reason I say "guy" is that most women, as ArianSilver implies, are too smart to tilt themselves out of the game. I don't know about you namecallers but my game is too weak to waste time whining about being beaten a hand - whining just makes it weaker............ Merlin333:cool: PokerStars. Dresden1 you are SO RIGHT. One major characteristics of these players is they will call your lucky hand in a minute and not a peep when their all in holding 25os UTG hits AND when they go out it's usually with a hand worse than the one they criticized... too sad
