I have several books on the game including Barry Greensteins "Ace on the river" and will read for an hour in bed before I sleep, some books I will read over and over again for information on a certain aspect of the game but also I read about the history of the game.
One book I read was called "Ghost's at the Table" and it was an insight into how the game started and shaped the wild west, how the different variations of the game became what they are today, The author even played into day 2 of the World Series of Poker final.
Just so that he could say he did it.
I do believe that everything I do playing poker will never interfere or put my family out on the street. If I do not have the money to play I do not play it is that simple.
I will never use a loan or credit card to play as I feel just as good winning a cash out in any free-roll or even a small buy-in game. You see it is never about the money, it is all about how well I play the game.
