At the time(1980) the chinatown gangs were in the news constantly due to the steady gun battles for territory, and even one tale of a shootout at one of the Ghost Shadows funerals Anyway, my friend Rob used to hang out with them at night when they went into Manhattan hanging out in Chinatown. The brothers used to go hang in the Chinatown clubs to either gamble or party trying to act like they were tough guys until one night they got a bit too stupid with one an older cantonese fella Rob told us the brothers were acting tough and chased the older guy out of an eatery and proceeded to mouth off to everyone in the place afterwards. As they were leaving, 4 gang members circled around them and pulled guns as they were getting into their car....Rob then told us when they started demanding who abused their "uncle", the brothers started to cry and pissed themselves...literally After that incident, Rob told the whole block what had happened, and within a week the beothers closed up the candy store and left the neighborhood for good never to be seen again. It turned out they were also taking the daily receipts from the candy store to maintain their gambling habits and their whole "player/gangster life" was down to the tubes Obviously this wasn't much about poker but what happens to young knuckleheads that get caught up in the fantasy of the gambling lifestyle and try to act bigger than they actually are [/QUOTE]
