I have played poker 9 years and only now I realized that I was totally wrong !!! I thought I can beat game easily without hand reading ,exploiting players tendencies! I used HUD stats for creating only general picture of players hoping it will tremendously increase my chances which obviously false!I multi tabled (16\6max from 2NL to 25NL) generally on Stars. It seemed to me that generally players are bad! and I can beat them! BUT NOW I know that I was BAD as well ! I have only one question! Please somebody tell me when you became aware of same thing that happen to me ? 9 years is to much? or you people never straggled with same wrong attitude to Poker???

poker game is dynamic! I'm playing since 2013 in general it was good the first 3 years in 2017 felt a serious recession of his game! 2018 I started again with books and went on training! in poker you have to constantly improve your game!

Hello,
Firstly congrats for starting to improve and look for your flaws, that's a good thing to do no matter how much time You did it wrong.
I also thought for a long time that i am good enough to beat bad people but not good enough to beat the good ones. When i started reading about the game and tried to improve i realised that i was doing the same misstakes as those i thought i am better than them and that completly changed the way i think about poker. [emoji14]
Good luck to You in the improving process.

I think that I have enough of what I can do. I'm not going to play with professionals and play at expensive tournaments. I'm aware that I'm a medium-sized player.

Hey Aragveli81 - if you've been playing 16 tables of 6-max at a time for 9 years, and weren't forced to quit a long time ago, you've obviously got a lot on the go. Sounds to me like maybe you just moved up a level (to 25NL perhaps) and experienced a big downswing? I'd guess you need to tweak parts of your game rather than totally revamp the whole thing.

You haven't told us much so obviously I'm making a big leap. There are a lot of bad players out there. I know - I'm one of them. But there are some pretty sharp ones too. Good luck!

If you don't study you will be at a disadvantage. Especially as you play higher stakes

I realized after about 2 months of playing I wasn't that good as I tought.
But since that, I feel that my game has already been improved.
It's already more then 2 years since that realisation.

at max you should have is 4 tables, usually 2 increase your stakes and lower your buyins requirement. This make the structure you are making for yourself more qualitative as opposed to quantitative. watch the profits soar.

The less you know about the game, the more you think you know. The second you start learning more about the game and studying and working on your game, the more you realize you have a ton of stuff to learn.

Now that is an answer that has affinity with Aristotle.

I'm having the same realization. I've been playing about 9 years also and am not ahead by any means. What's funny is, I started by playing free play chips and could make millions of those. Now that I'm playing for money, I don't even want to admit how much I've lost.My biggest problem as that I really circle the drain when I lose when I'm not supposed to.I hope something changes soon cause I don't want to have to quit this game.

You have to reinvent your game play. That means play differently from what you have been playing.

I'd recommend that you start with an inexpensive training site, as well as, watching some of the top Twitch streamers such as Lex V and Tonka.

I've been studying the game a lot myself. And as one poster mentioned you begin to realize how much you don't know. It's tough to absorb a lot of the information and then implement it on the tables. It involves a lot of hard work. I'm still trying to get there...
