I treat freerolls same as paid in tournaments. Early on, playing strong hands. cautious not to commit my stack in speculative/drawing hands. Middle Phase, slowly getting aggressive until the bubble, and then aim for the top prize.

Ideally that would be me, but I am me. I play like me. Come let us play. :)

My site has a low prize freeroll that I play for fun and they start up very frequently. So I can start a new one in 15-20 minutes. For that reason I pick my first hand where I either have Ax, two face cards or a pocket pair and go all-in. At the beginning people call with anything so a good bit of the time your ahead or its a race. Sometimes ill do it two or three times. If everything works out then I settle down and play my normal game as if it was a paid tournament. If the prize money was more sizable then I'd play normal from the beginning but since it's mostly for fun I like to play big stacked. So I either chip up or I'm out.

I played this so badly but it's a freeroll, I put the big stack on pairs or possibly a weak ace but doubtfully and let them suck out on me and boom river rewards the big stack who played it even worse than me with his ace rag :D lesson to be learned is in freerolls you will get more bad beats

I play super tight and NEVER bluff except maybe at last two tables. I only play top 12 hands and every once in a while a suited connector. I play baby pairs if it is cheap because if they hit, they pay big.

In a big field freeroll, i dont think it matters. Just shove good hands and try to build a stack. No need to get fancy until you go deep.

At start of tourny i play very tight ,only play premium hands cause of all the all in donks.I am very patient and hopefuly very lucky to increase my chip stack.Later in tourny i will open up a little but still pick my hands to play. But i think the most important thing about freerolls his being lucky especially the ones with more then 1000 players.

I try to play tight early on (because donks like to push in with crap and win because lol odds) and become more aggressive, but solid as the game goes on.

If there are more than 1k players - I play really crazy. In other situations I play agressive at the start and then, in the middle, I just wait for good hand

I could see someone having player notes on another player, that affecting how they play a freeroll.

Freerolls you play more freely not under presserue so obvisely you can call a all in with ak every time. I would say at the middle end stage you must have enough blinds not to call a all in even with ak. The problem is you have mostley more than one freeroll at the same time overlapped so you cannot concentrate. You cannot allowed to let the aggressesion lead you or you will surely loose a lot of chips from time to time.
