While playing Omaha and you get dealt two pair, what is your strategy?

If it's AAKK and they are double suited that is easy to be aggressive with,

But what about if it's 9944 rainbow?
Do you treat it like a small pair in holdem and set mine or just fold and wait for another hand?

Omaha seems to me to be about how many outs you have to make a winning hand.

With 9944 rainbow you are mixing it up with only 4 outs.
Even then if you hit a set, you are probably behind to a pat hand.

I think that the money saved by folding may be a better play than hitting a set and losing a large pot.

I'd open 9944 from the button as a steal in a cash game (full stack vs nits), but that's about it - you're right it's a "going no where" hand.

I think GTO-wise you can consider opening it from late positions if it has at least one suit, but you better play it perfect post flop ;)

I think generally you won't go too wrong with "crappy" two pairs by letting them go and opening middling ones if they're connected/suited (you want more going on than just set potential)- as always consider your position and who's to act behind!

PLO is always about table dynamics--what that means is how do my villains play. Is every hand multiway-does it continue to be multiway to the river?
9944 in that game is always a fold- the hand is just too weak. 9966 single suit should be our cutoff in that type of game in LP never EP.

I play wide in PLO. 9944 i think i'll limp or max open raise like 3.5x pre depends on players on table with me. For me it is not a weak hand. Maybe i'm fish bcs of my wide playing in omaha 70+ vpip:ROFLMAO:
