I can learn how to make money for small expenses in freerolls, here it is nice to play calmly and not worry that you can lose your money, I advise beginners not to play for play money, but play in freerolls right away.

Hello! I'm new to poker and don't have my own bankroll! I saw how people on YouTube earned a lot of money from $ 10! Now I'm trying to build my bankroll on freerolls! The question is: can I learn something from them?

Obviously there is no risk in a freeroll but most ppl tend to make excuses and tilt till they quit or start throwing a tantrum. Freerolls can be beat. First thing itll teach you is that any hand can lose and luck isnt really apart of poker. The Cards even out in the end Like Mr Moshman said poker is about adapting and identifying your opponents and exploiting their mistakes. You gotta play it like its 3 or 4 levels of the tourney. In the beginning of freerolls fold everything except top tens only cause the players gambling at this point and you wanna play poker not gamble. After late reg ends hopefully your ak held up and you at least doubled. Round 2 or part two is starting to use your position, Funny cause the cards will deal you hands like 22-77 UTG or q ten off or ace 9 suited.....throw them cause position is everything in a freeroll. When your opponents are random its good to let them act and React accordingly. From this point try not to get it all in pre unless you have the ace jack or better with pair jacks or better. Note you will lose with these to coolers and bad beats in the first few tries idk why but statistics is weird like that, but remember your playing over time no one wins there first tournament. Part or round 3 is when your about to hit ITM. Position is key and Normally if im mid to button ill always raise with good range IF FOLDED TO ME and the c bet when you hit pair with back doors. lotta players tighten up pay attention to who is in that lot. The game slows way teh EFF down at this point so relax 10 bigs becomes normal and 20 is where you live. anything higher hold on to it unless you got Premiums. High level concepts dont work in freerolls, why would they you playing ppl who are gambling, having fun, or beginning like they were pros. This is where you practice Playing tight although boring will win more often and along the way you will notice the Concepts and how to implement them or exploit them. Final table and top 20 ICM and experience will take you closer till you win. Learn from your mistakes and dont Get to high when you win and definitely dont get too low when you lose. They say holdem is the Cadillac of poker and the swings can drive a man insane. Poker is war people just think its a game. I recommend The art of war By shin zhu lol Keep stacking

If you are new,you can learn many things, how to play with different opponent's:aggressor, player who always push on position, also you can learn how to play on bubble.but the main thing is that, everything depends on you and your nerves.if you want to learn, you will be.

I think freerolls are a waste of time if you have real money to play poker.

Of course, freerolls teach you how to play poker. And at the moment they contain all the criteria of modern poker. Many coaches say the old techniques don't work. And in freerolls there are all types of awesome poker that will come in handy at high limits. Winning freerolls is the first sign of success!)

Freerolls exist for everyone to have the opportunity to hone their skills without investing, work out their own strategy and collect the necessary bankroll.

Not early on begin of Freeroll tourney. But, if you still play when 10 % of players remaining, THEN YES!! You can work on your own strategy and collect necessary bankroll. Especially if you can't deposit for some reason or if you will play without any investing money. But it's hard.

You can learn a lot from free-rolls, sure you get the idiot all-ins at the start of the game, I am as guilty as the next guy, but in later stages when the game settles down players start to play better and more realistically as they would in a Buy-in game.
Playing free-rolls allows you to change gears when it comes down to the money bubble, because the game does change in how players proceed, also when you get down to lower numbers you will experience short table numbers and again have to change your playing style accordingly.
Finally reaching the final table, you will have to try and ladder up through the pay table, until eventually you reach heads-up play and either win or lose. All different aspects of the game can be experienced through playing Free-rolls, and the most important lesson I learned was How do you expect to win a buy-in game, if you cannot win a free-roll occasionally?
I have won a few over the years, cashed in many, but lost in thousands of them, I still enjoy playing free-rolls mainly because I cannot lose any money in them, and they are a great way of feeding my "Poker Adrenalin Rush" I have learned a lot through playing them, enough to start playing in Live games in Pub's, Club's and Casino's and hope one day when this Pandemic is History, "I will be Back!" (lol) playing live games again.

When the fun Stops, STOP!

If you don’t want to invest your money, then freerolls are one of the ways to get at least some real money to play. Most people really play for money, not like in freerolls. I realized that on freerolls, on the contrary, you will forget how to play normal poker.

In addition to what everyone else has said about playing in free rolls, you learn to see patterns in players and betting. I’m sure you’ve heard that people have “tells” that you can see in live poker that you don’t see in-line. It’s true that you don’t see the physical tells, however I notice betting patterns from players which I don’t always notice when playing live since there are so many other distractions playing live.

if wanna play tournaments yh sure, but basic patterns frequencies in general for how often a hand is good bad whatever how to bucket it less so mainly due to less hands per hour less exposure and also the whole tournament life thing meaning some spots where you make money calling or bluffing or breaking even doing so you pass up to ladder up or whatever wait for better spot when tourney life isnt at risk.

also fact most tournament your shortstacked and its 9handed or fullring most often means playing tighter is a thing (or meant to be) cause strength of hands out there to combat yours.

there good for knowing how far just raw aggression attacking weak hands can get you also you can bluff more in tournaments in really really unbalanced OTT ways so if you see a spot and you think yh his hand isnt strong you can do some dumb dumb bluffs and there profitable in a chip bb accumulating sense.

also just if your new there good as well its free and get an idea least what tournament pokers like (most freerolls dont start out deep though or time level changes is stupid so theres hardly much room for manourverability (spelt wrong) or multistreet play some freerolls.

id say there good if wanna play tournaments dont have funds to risk yourself yet new to game just wanna get feel for the patterns in the deck card and in opponents in general on site (as different sites player pools have different patterns in general different donk float station 3b 4b cc etc etc ranges site to site it just shifts why i personally cant mix sites least in cash games as the dynamics are vary quite unlikely issue with tournaments).

1 thing will say tournaments are less enjoyable least to me its slow paced snail paced timebank everywhere which made worse as fullring, fullring so unless playing 1 tournament and really focused in the mood unlikely gonna watch action of all players all streets every hand even when not in hand and cause its fewer hands tighter play in general takes longer to bucket mentally people think how they think.

and its long!!!! also if anything like me that length will **** with you and youll make mistake really shouldnt make and wouldnt if were focused more, then your snap out of it get head back in game, but i personally are more costly in tournaments than cash games in tournaments every **** up mistake you make really is important, as you lose those you lose those chips diminish ability to accumulate more in a hand win the tournament etc

if like them play them if not and bored while doing so dont pokers a game meant to be fun end of the day playing gambling is meant to be fun.

the fullring and pace of play is enough for me to hate tournaments though and the shortstacked nature of it too

For anyone starting to build a bankroll, freerolls are the least risky way to go. And here you are in the right place (there is no better) to build a bankroll and improve your game.

Similar to a real tournament but a fair bit looser. You will get sucked out to lesser hold cards than normal. This can be hard to take.

Of course! It's better for you to play in freerolls, get acquainted with the game, feel yourself at the table in every position, you will gain experience! First of all, you will see how other players play and you will have an understanding of poker itself, before you start playing for your own money, this is the best that can be!:listen:

I believe that freerolls provide an opportunity to test your understanding of the position and value of cards on different streets! it is very important to understand what is happening and at the same time not risk anything (except for time) ;)

Patience is in my opinion a highly valuable skill someone can practice while playing freerolls.

Also the ability to recognize +EV spots to put their money in when the stacks get small.

Quite a lot of things can be learned, both good and not very good, as it seems to me that in most of the free rolls a lot of people go all-in, they did not catch luck and went out, but if you turn on your head, you will see that not only luck in poker is needed, but also skill decides a lot
