When learning poker there are so many concepts to understand: position, pot odds, ranges, aggression, and more.

But sometimes there is one idea that suddenly makes the game much clearer.

What was the concept that helped improve your game the most when you were still learning?

When I started learning about converting my stack into how many big blinds I have, then learning strategies based on how many big blinds I have (or my opponent has) this changes a lot for me.

Focus in your cards, and try to improve your game, and time by time you will see some good results.
Try to fight against tilt as much as you can, and stay many hours with good players, and learn from them how they doing actions at the tables.
As someone already told you here is a course how to become a poker player winner, then read it, and I suggest to understand the skilled game is coming with your time what you invest at the tables.

For me, the concept that really changed my game was position. Once I understood how powerful it is to act last, many other ideas started to make sense. I realized I could control the pot better, gather more information from my opponents’ actions, and play a wider range of hands profitably from late position.

Before that, I was mostly focused on the strength of my cards. Learning about position helped me understand that poker isn’t just about the cards you hold, but also about when you act and how much information you have when making decisions.

You can either study the game and understand it more, and when you make decisions afterwards of off what you've learned, you will think that it helps your game, and probably it's true. But there is also another way - learning by playing, where you improve parallely during just playing a lot of freerolls while getting to know the positions and terms, the probabilities. It's an all parallel-evolving proces, where all the skills improve one next and during the others, so I think your question is too simple. That's why I personally will give a simple answer: Everything improves simultaneously.

The Power of Position. I used to play almost any two cards if they looked 'pretty' from any seat

not sure why your post caught my attention.
and I probably dont have an answer for your question.
But it reminded of how some forms of learning are so boring.
And alot of times it takes a while of experimenting with what you learned before you completely understand the lesson. and bc of that you're most likely losing money while you try implement it into your game.
which brings me to my point..i watched all of these gripsed videos, sepecifically about defending the bb.
It took me a damn long time to really understand when I should/shouldnt try and defend.

Honestly, finally grasping the concept of Position changed everything for me. Before that, I was playing way too many marginal hands from early position and wondering why I was constantly stuck in miserable spots on the turn and river.
