I'm a beginner, so it's hard for me to gauge how skilled my opponents are.
But when I see players winning smoothly at multiple tables at the same time, I can't help but feel suspicious.
Do you ever feel like there are BOTs or RTAs in the game?
Also, what stakes do you usually play at?

If they do exist, is it still worth playing online poker?

Both are perfectly likely in online poker. However, they are only a threat to beginner players. More skilled players should not have as much difficulty when facing a bot, as poker is very relative due to the randomness of the cards. Now, it is undeniable that poker has changed. New strategies have proven to be efficient and we have to adapt.

What kind of strategies are considered effective new strategies? Also, where can I learn them?

Obviously a lot of times you're up against bots and there's nothing you can do, just get mad at having bad luck playing against people you can't beat.

If you think there are bods, then you know how bots are playing that hand ? You are smarter than bot right ?

A lot of people feel that way when dealing with hands
I really know Floppton River and use it when playing a play~ I think the answer is just going all-in

I was worried about bots too, especially in PartyPoker, the most dirty poker site btw. They had to refund back alot of money because they were "illegal" before in europe so by some new law they have to give back all the money to those who lost it before. And 10 years ago i also lost alot money in gambling blackjack there. bad memories :D But what i understood so far, they have a very small amount of players right now and i was registred there just for some interest and i swear i felt they are using bots even in those freerolls just to keep this site alive.

Its not hard to beat them but its also not a good feeling.

I think there are a great likelihood that the game is sometimes rigged. Because of bots or people which use illegal tools. In the past there were some illegal players and the getting catched. So in the future there will be again such illegal moves. Especially with the new technical possibilities it would be impossible that no one could make illegal moves.

On the GG platform, I feel like there are bots (hello, very bad players), there are some strange hands of all in pre flop with nothing in hand, some suspicious turns and ribers...

Yes, on some platforms more than others, I suppose if you notice it you can't get so frustrated and think that it wasn't your fault.

There's both. You can still pick and choose when and where you play. If the field is not profitable, then play somewhere else.

There are plenty of human players, who can manage to play a bunch of tables at the same time, so this is not in itself a sign, that someone are using "bots" to play for them. They usually sit at a desk and have a 2-monitor setup like in an office. RTA is kind of the opposite, since it takes a lot of time to manually plug hands into software like solvers while playing. So usually people can only do this, if they focus on a single table at a time.

This also means, its not really worth it for a low stakes grinder, unless perhaps they play MTTs and have reached a big final table. But the rest of the time the extra edge gained by plugging hands into a solver or whatever can not compensate for the disadvantage of having to give up on multitabling. So if you play low or micro stakes games, its really not something, I think, you need to worry about.

There's both in online poker. Some sites have more then others.

The short answer to your question depends on why you wanna play. If you just wanna be a rec/hobby/part-time player and play for some enjoyment and to make a bit of side money YES it's still worth it. Fwiw I'm a 20+ year smallish winning player who plays 2nl-50nl full-ring and longer blind level(10+ mins) MTT's from $5-Sunday Million. I'm walking living proof it's worth it. And I'm not close to one of the better and more knowledgeable members of this forum when it comes to actual poker. I play a basic TAG style and am well studied in ICM and shove and re-shove ranges for MTT's when I'm under 40bb. I haven't actually studied to improve my game in over 15 years now.

The things I do really well are bankroll management, rarely tilt, mental toughness, patience, game selection.

Best of luck with your poker journey.

Cheers!!!

For a beginner it is wise to take it easy and focus mostly or completely on the freerolls etc that are available .
[ if u really prefer cashgames is another situation , but its smart to not focus on this as a new player ]
Best in my view is join several sites so you have more options to play for free .
Deposit minimum amount that is needed for bonuses u get on the site for being a new player .
Depending on your financial situation you can consider keep a loss limit so u can always get most of your deposit back.
being new player and getting some extra bonuses wil give a good chance to get your deposit amount back plus some extra .
[ personally i always play lowest stakes ]
I can tell you not all players are very skilled players , poker is like bingo at times - no need to be intimidated when play on microlevel , get some experience without ever put a lot of money on a game and see how situation is at later time .
Bad luck , ridiculous hands , strange situations , it happens on all pokersites is my experience , maybe some slightly more then others .
GGpoker i consider it a bad site to play a lot , but you do get every day a freebee wich is very good in itself , and cardschat has freerol tourneys on GGpoker so i would 100% join there .
Depending on how much u want to play but there is no need to risk a lot of money in joining pokersites , when u do it the smart way u can join several sites , and have a small profit everywhere , without ever taking a real risk .

Professional plo player here - have played on every major site and many clubs within clubgg/pppoker/prrr2 etc. Yes many sites and clubs are bot filled. Most bots will take a bit of time and will have a high donk/fold frequency. Actually I'm in the process of starting my own club that's clean, low rake and honest for these reasons. Many of the newer bots are "exploitative bots" and can work together even.
