One mistake I made a lot of was that when I lost a hand because I took a bad one, then I would get irritated and I would end up losing all the chips because I didn't breathe a bit and follow the tournament or cash... I see that it's very important to know how to stop when you're losing, especially online!

For sure. Take a "tilt walk" to clear your mind and refresh your focus...both when playing online and live, too.

I think the vast majority of beginning players make this mistake.

you need to treat poker not as a game but as a job and work hard and you need to find a method that quickly removes the tilt

If I stopped when I was tilted, I would not play much.

I get upset when I lose Play Money.

There is a guy called "Frankie C" on youtube. Its very interesting to watch him but he also plays very often tilted. He almost goes only "all in" after or before the flop. Therefore if you have a bad day, just watch him and you will feel better :D

There are things that are easier said than done. Stopping is one of them. Our emotions are our enemies.

Once I started to play Sit'N'Go with 5$ buy-in and after constantly losing one game after another I ended up losing the whole my bankroll like $100+ because I couldn't stop. It was a good lesson for me after that I really careful about such kind of things

Take a break: The best thing you can do is stop playing for a while. Even a short break can help reset your emotions and give you a clearer perspective.

It's the ideal of course, but it's easier said than done. But if you want to have any success in poker, control your emotions is the number one rule.

I dont think it's important to stop when you're tilted. What's important is to play your best even when you're tilted. You can only do this by studying and training off the tables enough so that circumstances, emotions and the like don't mess with the skills you have acquired. In the end, I don't want the ability to stop playing, but ability to keep going without my reasoning being affected.

You are right. It is better to close the tables and take a break from the game than to lose money.

When I am tilted I take a break for at least ten minutes in total silence.

Thanks for the tip my friend, it changed my concept!!

Completely agree. Tilt is one of the biggest bankroll killers, especially online where it’s easy to keep clicking buttons. Taking a short break, breathing, or even quitting the session can save a lot of money in the long run. Knowing when to stop is definitely a skill, not a weakness.

I believe you really have to know when to stop playing poker, and variance exists, so there will be good days and bad days, and that's normal.
