Tilt is definitely something every poker player has to learn to manage, especially online. I don’t think stopping immediately is always the solution. If I get bad beat in one tournament but I’m still playing others, I can’t just quit everything.
For me, the key is understanding that poker will always be a mix of skill and luck. Bad players can win hands, and sometimes bad plays get rewarded which is usually the most frustrating part. Accepting that reality helps a lot.
Mental strength is crucial. Being aware of what just happened, taking a few seconds to breathe, and continuing to make correct decisions is more important than simply stopping. Knowing how to control emotions after a bad hand is what really separates good players from the rest.
