Online poker, how many tables do you play at the same time?

I run somewhere between 2 and 3, I find however if I run 3 and get a hand on all 3 tables it takes my mind off of everything I'm supposed to be doing, especially when my missus is in my ear too so I should probably only run 2 in future.

I was playing 6 at the same time, it's a little complicated.
I think 2 or 3 for me are ok.

I used to play 6 Spin & Go tables for 0.25$ and it was great for me, but sometimes I had to make decisions very fast when its your turn on 3 tables at the same time. Today I opt for only one, max. 2, tables, because I want to focus more on individual competitions. Now, I have much more time to watch the play of my opponents, read their moves and think, how to bluff them. It's very hard to learn a behaviour of your opponents in the online game, so you must be very focused and observant. In my opinion, you have more chance to win a tournament if you're into it for 100%. If you play more than 4 tables, you even not be able to recognize your cards when it "beeeps" at all tables in the same time and you have to call or fold in the split second. I prefer to play slow and relax in the front of my smarthpone or notebook and enjoy my game

I found that I can play up to 4 at a time as long as they are the same (cash or tournament and not a mix) but honestly, I prefer 1 at a time so that I can really focus on learning the mistakes that my opponents are making and maximally exploit those mistakes.

Just a few tables. I think this is not a good idea to play more then 3 tables, because for sure this will effect your game.

2 tables is the best.. But once i get down to final 2 tables in 1 tournament than just that 1 so I can make more proper moves.

I like what you said there because that does represent reality. I used to play 9 cascade tables at Cereus just for ultimate points, but this is a Rock TAG approach where you are absolutely not playing anywhere near optimal poker. I could only manage it for about 2 hours before my brain felt like it would implode if I keep moving my eyes like that. Key points: You probably can get away with a lot more tables at lower stakes. It is easier to amass a boatload of chips early on which will carry you to the bubble even with a multitude of mistakes you will make, especially if rebuys/add ons are your game of choice. Once I have 1-2 tables past the bubble I will pull myself out of any additional tournaments starting for next hour or 2 and limit the stress on the decisions that count the most-the ones that bring you to the final table and the cheese. I would say that *some* volume is pretty important for guppies and minnows. Start with 1 game, then 2 and work up slowly.

I have to agree that multitablers will be probably strict and regimented preflop. If not they are likely to end up on the wrong side of simultaneous mistakes and frequently. Also remember that sick tablers have seen millions and millions of hands/players/structures. After some years, the early stages of a MTT become effortless to autopilot even after a few bowls of chronic and a movie in background. I'm less likely to watch player tendencies for 1st hour as many of those players will be on the rail. The middle part of MTT I watch for reads and betting patterns. The portion near bubble is probably more about relative stack sizes than the players or hole cards. I play mostly 1$ rebuy MTT, guaranteed because I have won that event at least 3 or 4 times in fields 400-600. P.S. Yes, multitablers are likely to be especially set in our ways fundamentally.

I find, with MTT's, 4 tables comfortable, 6 at a push. Any more will lead to me making (more) mistakes (than i do already). If i am recording / streaming, it is difficlt to monitor more than 4 tables and actively comment on each decision i take. With sit n go's i can possibly say 6-8 comfortable, but less attention to details here as well.

I usually play 4 tables of NL 2, it gives me time to think. But if I play fast tournaments, only 2 tables are fine for me.

I'm playing on average 2 tables at a time at the moment in cash games at NL2 to give myself thinking time. Looking to move to 4 soon.

There were 16 tables most of which I played but that’s a lot for me. I prefer to play from 1 to 6 tables.

It depends on where I am playing and how long players have to act, but never more than 4. When players have like 30s the tables move slower overall and I'm not rushed by two tables asking to make decisions at the same time, which makes it easier to play more tables. It's also easier to play more if you play full ring.

tbh when i play sit n goes i wait until 3 plp get k.o before i load another table it helps me stay focus on my goal and build my BR which is great for my sanity lol
