I am competing in several free tournaments and I invest the small winnings in small tournaments, but the irregularity of the opponents is a problem!
I didn’t read your other posts yet, but from this point, without knowing your goals, I have this advice:
The best strategy is to keep playing
freerolls just like you do until you reach $100–150. It’s not really about the money – probably you can make more in one month even in a very poor country than from freerolls – but what you don’t learn in a regular job is how to control your emotions and build mental strength.
Also, I believe that if you take small stakes as seriously as high stakes, you will need to constantly change your strategy. This is one of the main keys to becoming a successful poker player.
In the end, it depends on you and your goals. If you want to get rich fast with poker, you can try and take your chances. But if your goal is to improve your game, then the amount of money you play doesn’t matter so much. As long as you play within your bankroll and play well, you will move up to higher levels.
Think about the series
The Queen’s Gambit. She started playing in small towns. Even if it’s a fictional story, the message is important.
One “bad” example is Frankie C on YouTube. He has enough money to play in expensive tournaments, but he plays very loosely. I watched a few videos, and his strategy is to follow his emotions and go “all in” when he gets good cards. But yes, he is still losing money.
