I am surprised though they let Africans play. They are usually very restrictive over African states.
I'm glad for them but who and who isn't eligible makes no sense.. @Risto234 is Estonian so part of the EU and he can't log into the ps community....

It doesn't work because poker and gambling sites are normally blocked in Belarus since april 2020 or 2021. Gotta use VPN for that (only for the site, not for the room!!)

I enjoy those freerolls with some value. In the last two month including this one there was a chance to win cash. In the month before that it was only 50 places paid and win some tourney tickets. So it was very difficult to get itm. This time is not perfect because it the christmas eve. It is time for the family, i dont knew if i play this tournament. We will see.

Obviously, it's not encouraged by PS in any way, but people still use VPN for downloading installation files from it or for accepting the new terms and conditions. But probably it's not worth it to risk it for a freeroll ticket.

the webiste is basically the same thing you're logged in with your account and if no MAC adress can be determined (your location ) the system blocks you automatically and the case goes to investigations@pokerstars.
then you have to make believable that you didn't use a VPN on purpose.
Actually happened to me once but I simply forgot to turn it off. So long story short if you use it , you may not get banned instantly if you write them and present your case but they will withold your potential winnings for sure.
Not worth the risk

Yes of course your attempt failed... Pokerstars has tools to detect VPNs. If your'e determined to try again I'd use NordVPN no better on the market.
But feel obligated to tell you that this would be fraud and if they detect it any winnings in the tournament won't be credited to you

I really don't know why you think you will get away with it... Pokerstars holds the right to withhold prices
You won't enjoy the benefits cause there are none if PS finds out . Which they almost always do

It looks like Pokerstars has banned some countries from joining
Try a vpn If you want but be prepared that it may have consequences.
If you still want to , use an IP of a "White list " country ..
Austria or Germany for example.
But I can't stress enough that this is against house rules and could result in a ban

pokerstars prohibits playing poker through vpn, but visiting the site is not clear. I'm not sure that they have a ban on visiting the site through vpn. Again, this should be clarified in support.

My suspicion is that countries ban the PS community because of laws which forbid to promote Poker in any way
Loads of countries apparently allow gambling but not promoting it .
