(888/GG) How effective emojis and throwables are?

GG, 888 and other poker rooms have emojis and throwables itens (like poop, donkeys, eggs...).

Do you use them? If yes, for what reasons? If no, why?

I like using them to tease my oponents, specially those with a lot (or a few) chips, and I noticed it generally works. My father hates and disapproves when I use, saying it's not respectful with other players.

What are your toughts?

I have them disabled in all the rooms. So you can throw them, but they won't ever reach me 😇

I have them turned off too generally, I'm not there to throw toys at people lol

I think in low stakes/freerolls it can be effective to tilt other players, make them play against you instead of against hole table

PS: Yes, my fathe is awesome! =)

It's a valid psychological strategy.
If someone gets aggravated by throwables it can be disabled.

Nothing disrespectful about using throwables offered by the pokerroom... Childish...yes

But as long as you don't curse them out verbally in the chat.. all good imo

They can definitely affect your opponents play but obviously this depends on the player. Lots of players have both this and the chat box switched off, personally I have it switched on but do not usually engage in it as I think I have found a few tells that way.

Yes, it's totally childish, I admit, but often works

About chat, that's one thing I like on 888, no chats, so no toxics. Droping me a poop will not make my day a bad one.

I almost never use it.
Only as congrats after an awesome hand.
But I think it could be kind of a tell sometimes. Some players use it a lot after a bad beat or when beat with a trap. It's a good sign of a tilted player.

I prefer the chat because sometimes , alas ..rarely, you have nice and even delightful table talk.
Also.. sending Gifs is a thing I didn't wanna miss xD
Gpoker is VERY strict about chat behaviour.

For instance,. I was blocked 30 DAYS. for a stupid joke... Some Japanese made a snap call allin with 60 BB with Q3 off...
I asked him if he's living near Fukushima cause his brain is obviously broken,.

Apparently this is still a very sensitive topic for Japanese I won't touch again hahaha , oh boy that one was angry... LOL

I think it's just kindergarten. I think it just spoils the game and all this nonsense is completely unnecessary. However, they exist and players often use these features. Sometimes it happens that people remain children even at a respectable age.

Yeah, I always do. But I never throw daring items at players first. When something is thrown at me, I will certainly answer. Does it make me mad? No. But sometimes I do imitate a tilt so that in the next hand the fish will call my pocket aces.

Hello everyone. Yes, I play on 888 and repeatedly, no - I constantly face this. It doesn't affect me at all, I just don't react, although I can afford to do something in response, but it will rather be a grateful gesture than anything else. Shit, they say it's about money 👏👏👏😀😀😀🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 so let them throw it!!! But for a donkey or a fish - you will answer with your stack!!! Good luck to all!! Glory to Ukraine!!!

Yes it is childish but it has a purpose. You can minimize tantrums by letting people vent a little via throwables
