Absolutely right, Sammy.  But one thing to consider as the hand moves forward is the number of players in the hand.  If you're heads-up against one other guy, you've got a monster.  But if three other players stayed in after the flop, it's pretty much a lock that the other two Aces are sitting among them.  In other words, your AA can't improve.  So, if the threat of a set appears on the board, beware.  You have to be able to toss those bullets aside if it looks like they've lost their value late in the hand.
