I think the cage is a PLO tourney if I'm not mistaken it is a runoff of the PLO tourney they play down in Costa Rica online for ACR which is a half ring- half tourney game and what ever you have left after a certain amount of hours and levels play out that is yours to keep. Is what I get from it.

Well if there is a lot of fishes it means that are a lot of dead chips you could be winning, so i think you have to play ABC poker since the beginning

Hi everybody
Freerolls are amusing but one question arises:
Should play seriously as from the beginning (where a lot of fishes swim?) or wait to the
mid game to start playing?

From the very beginning there is a big risk to fly out - often go all-in! :pcguru: I usually try to play caution at the beginning of the freeroll! :vroam:

To be honest Ferrol is not a game where you can get prizes. Many do not play on the map and for good luck

Play according to your tactics. At the beginning there will always be those who quickly want to get rich, or they can not play, or they want to quickly end up playing because they have something else to do. This phase has to be checked out. Unless AA appears to us

Once I watched a professional stream and he was asked a question about the fact that there are a lot of fish in freerolls. He laughed and replied that there are a lot of fish on micro buy and medium, and for $ 80, and those who do not have a bankroll play in the freerolls. There is no bankroll because a fish cannot win, and if it wins, then it loses everything, because it is a fish. Vicious circle. I think that playing freerolls is not important when registering with them, because there will always be a lot of fish. I do not care when to enter the game, the main thing is to have fun. I want the rest to enjoy the game.

depends on the freeroll you play, if it is a turbo or slow tournament, most freerolls are turbo, but the time you register depends on how comfortable you feel entering from the beginning or halfway through the game, play normal, play your game normal as always

Play serious from the start to win the tournament, if you wait until the middle to start playing you will be with few chips

The only tournament I don't play serious is the $10 On Demand freeroll. That one I just shove first hand no matter what. Everything else I play serious. If a freeroll is password protected, then I see all players play with more seriousness.

The Cage freeroll is something ACR does every month or so. Their games range from NLH to PLO to whatever game they're playing live at the Cage on their Twitch channel.

From the free rolls I have played, there are a lot of loose players so the math says that you should play a large number of them playing solid poker. At the final table you can start playing more creatively. When you keep notes on those players you have met at the final table you will see they don't get there by luck alone. Most of them play the bigger satellite games.
However, playing many free rolls is very time consuming. On Stars I have played in low stakes satellite SNG's where the competition consisted of people who earned hundreds of thousands...but they play a lot! One of them came in second in the Sunday Million yet he continues to play these satellite entries....

I think it's worth playing seriously from the start. Many players are not serious about freerolls. It is important to be patient, play only good starting hands and not use bluff.

typical advice for MTT's:
- play tight in the beginning
At lower stakes and freerolls:
- play more tight than above
The same concepts apply to all games, freerolls are no exception.

Really think i will give up playing freerolls on pokerstars. I have been on the bubble about 6 times and always get crushed by a trash hand. The last one i played there was 3 of us all in and i had AA another had KK and the one that one had 69o and he hit trip 6s.Then i have been in the money 8 or 9 times on 888 no problem and have made the final table 3 times. I just don't get it. Is it that amount of fish on pokerstars is way more than 888 and they just gambling and not trying to play poker?

If you dont play seriously form the start, its bad. Why? Because in the middle of the game you will have few chips and you cant play the game as you want. Also, freerolls are good for practice. If you are good on freerolls then you have a good chance on the others

Play seriously and try not to get into bad habits. Everyone wants to get all in with very marginal cards. I think that seeing people play bad cards can lead you into a false sense of security. You start to think that they're always playing bad cards.

I usually like to be extremely selective with my opening hands in the first 10-15 minutes, but with the biggest hands I'll usually make monster raises as you always gets called. Blinds 15/30 and I get AA, probably raising to 300 or 400 as someone always calls. So I either look to score big early on a primo hand or just wait those first 10-15 minutes until play dies down a bit.

There is an old Chinese saying, if you sit on the river bank for a long time, sooner or later, the corpse of your ̶e̶n̶e̶m̶y̶ fish will swim by!:D:D:D

Freerolls are roulette, all-in, all-in, all-in. Fish or not
