So here is my page. Today I played the free game, didn't win, but did play as AAKJ, or whatever the hand is. I then click re fresh in the top right, and it updates my step 1 andstep 2 as having completed, and partially completed, as I have been dealt AA once for Step 1 and once out of 3 times for The Step 2 ticket.

Wow, much better promotion for the UK… I need to play 100 to 300 cash game hands to get a Step 1 or Step 2, lol. I was sure you were saying there’s a bug and you can get one for free with AA, but I guess it’s just the UK having a different promotion.

Yeah this seems to be the case, I mean its crazy easy in the UK, it basically means you win one in 3 times and get to pick the AA hand 1 in 3 times, so you're gtd a Step 1 2 days out of 3!! THe tough thing in I suppose is that I could play 300 hands and not get dealt AA ever, so therefore it can be tougher to get the Step 2 ticket.....But if I randomly do get 2 lots of AA playing other games, its worth playing cash to try and hit AA again!

Strange that they have such differeing requirements for the promos

I love collecting tickets — I got 175 on Stars from Power Path, haha. I always use them right before they expire.

Having tickets in your account is like having a comfort blanket ey!! Its just feels like you're winning, but then using them and not cashing is sad!!

Most certainly a different promo. Maybe even exlusively for UK members
I don't have that option either.
Just the daily avatar Race. But I don't get additional tickets when I get the Ace hand.

Yeah if you don't have the promo page like I do, then I guess its not availabe. Neverbluff has similar but based on hands played to get extra tickets too, but you have neither of these??

Yes I do. I get the daily avatar race ticket but never a second one though as you mentioned.
I do have the same promo as neverbluff I presume.

Well, I'm doing appallingly in these so far.....running so badly. To the point where I don't think I've experienced such a noticably bad run in a certain game before.

Currently I'm 5/33 in Step 1, the all in or fold, interestingly I thought it was going to worse than this, which highlights what many of us know, that your brain auto focuses on the bad beats etc. Then in 9 attempts at Stage 2 I'm still yet you get the win and a $10 ticket!!

I do really enjoy this freebie ride though, much more than the Powerpath in Stars.....I just wanna get to the real poker stage......please!!!

2/2 in step 1 and 1/1 on step 2 until i realise they are good for one year and started the collector mode lol

For the UK promo of having to AA, my mate came up with a great strategy. Play PLO, you can hit the 2 or 3 AA really quickly, yesterday about 20 hands over 2 tables, today 70 hands over 2 tables.

The only downside is neither of us can play this.

Actually seems pretty easy though, there's loads of players playing worse than us even after a really quick read up. I honestly think PLO cash can be quite a potential BR booster at micro stakes!!

Things have definitely turned around for me on these games.

Here are some updated stats.

In Step 1's I was 5/33, which in a 4 handed game is pretty terrible. Now though I've improved this to 22/73. This means I win a Step 2 ticket every 3.32 games which is decent, and means I'm recently doing way better. In the last 40 games after I first totalled it, I am winning 1 every 2.35 games!! Nice

In Step 2's I was 0/9. THis has improved dramatically to 10/51. Which is 1 win every 5.1 games played. again, nice and solid!

In 7 Step 3's I've bubbled twice, think I got a little cash in 1, but missed out on the tickets and decent cash both times. I have 3 of these tickets left to play!!

One other bonus is I've been playing PLO 5, in order to get the required number of AA for the promo, you get AA every 20 hands in this format which makes it much quicker to achieve. Anyway after a bit of a disaster and losing a lot of C$ won in the thanks GG promo, I've worked out some basics and seem to be fairly consistently winning, albeit over a small sample!!

Oh my word, the $10 STep 3 games are proving just out of reach, I was one of the money bubble, rather than ticket bubble yesterday.

Today I was money bubble boy, it was a really weird situation. WIth 3 $150 tickets and 4th place getting $37 i think, we get down to 5 left with 1 ticket already gone. Massive hand occurs, KO'ing 1 player and giving another player the ticket. SO we are down to 3 players, with 1 ticket and 1 $37 prize, BUT crucially 1 big stack sitting out. I have a short stack. Immediately the other remaining player puts pressure on with a 3X raise, I shove with A4s and he folds, he should call here. Next hand is the one below.....he shoves and I call with AKs, he has A4o and hits 2 pair!! Gutted, I bubble again.

I have to make this move, as the sitout player has soooo many more chips than me, the other player will keep raising until I blind down too much, and have to call anyway!

0/12 in my last 12 $10 step games. I had 12 $10 tickets saved so decided to use them yesterday while winding down an MTT session when I had only a few tables remaining. The play in these are HORRENDOUS- - lots of clueless players who got there with a free ticket (which can obviously be a good thing). A few bubbles didn't help.
I guess my first try at this was going to be my best and my one & only cash (so far). To be honest, I've lost the motivation to play them.

You were at my table in one! I think you got KO'd in about 10-12th or so. I think this is why I'm a bit annoyed I haven't made it through yet, I've had so many chances now, but haven't quite had the big chip stack or survived the key flip. They will turn into a great way to qualify for the GG Masters though, so I'm gonna persevere and keep the faith.

Well they are free, so its hardly the worst thing in the world!! Plus I'm learning to play Omaha to get the 3 X AA, so its not all bad

I will get some tickets and I will cash, then it will have been worth it!!

Well, today I got my 2 X Step 1 tickets, got another Step 2 ticket from them alog with my 1 for AA's, Then managed to win both Step 2's!!

Made a silly bluff on my first go at Step 3 and lost, almost saved it until tomoz, but played and finally took one down!! Magical!
