To me it sounds like legitimate concerns - - not wanting to put in the time on a site that they don't feel confident will even pay them out.
I was surprised that they asked me to do the verification process again.  I've played on 888 for 18years, have made many deposits and withdrawals (& player to player transfers).  I made a deposit awhile ago so that my account would be updated with this method (e-transfer) as I'd done with ALL of my accounts.  Followed by a withdrawal on ALL of my accounts so that they'd be all running smoothly for future withdrawals (if I were fortunate to have any, lol).  888 is the only one that gave me grief... and unfortunately for myself, the place I'm currently residing at includes utilities with the rent so there is no separate bill coming to me in the mail with which to verify my address (seems photo I.D. (Driver's License), & Passport are not enough).

I have experienced a site in the past that gradually had slower Withdrawal times... and slower... and slower until I lost $1,700 on that site ('LockPoker').  I can understand why people would be concerned with 888 these days :(
