Since the subject of tournament structure has been brought up, I would like to offer my opinion as a player as well. I actually like, that many tournaments on 888 poker allow rebuy as opposed to some other sites, where they call it reenter. The difference is, that with rebuy the player continue in the same seat, which allow play to continue with the history and dynamic, that might have developed at the table. With reenter the player is placed at a random table, so it is no different from late registering to another tournament. As for not allowing rebuy or reenter at all I have a difficult time seeing, why that makes sense, when late registration is allowed. It makes no difference to the playing experience, if someone rebuy/reenter, or if completely new players enter a tournament. Both have the same effect of decreasing the average stack size and postponing the time, where players know, exactly what prices they are competing for and against how many people. So for me personally I would ideally like to see all online tournaments allow unlimited rebuy, as long as late registration is allowed. Or at least all the common tournaments, that run every day. Maybe there is an argument for not allowing rebuy in one-off tournaments like the XL main event to increase the chance for a recreational player to actually win this, even he can only afford one bullet. But in the daily tournaments this consideration seem misplaced, since people can just play them again the next day. On the other hand I would like to see shorter periods for late registration, which would coincidentally also limit the amount of rebuys or reenters. Late registration on 888 Poker is usually possible, until a starting stack is less than 10BB. This is really extreme and almost a joke in those tournaments, which are named “deep” and start with 167BB stacks or even more. So this is something, I suggest 888 Poker to reconsider.
