So today, I ventured into PartyPoker territory that was to me as yet unexplored. I found an "inbox" in my account that showed a "friend request" from February. The player making the request was "i9900". I have never heard of this person. They are Canadian, so I've probably played them in freerolls before, but I don't recognize the name.

I sit down to play the Canada Day Freeroll at 8PM and lo and behold, I'm sitting next to i9900! I repeatedly texted "i9900 - are you reading chat?" I realize that this question can only be truthfully responded to in the positive, but still, just trying to figure out what's going on here. I could easily have been sitting next to this person dozens of times in the last six months but never noticed. He never responded. He's not a CC member. He's not any of my friends who play online.

I will treat this like so many friend requests on FaceBook - I will ignore it. But I was wondering if anyone has PP friends? As well as, does anybody know who this is? Has i9900 sent you a friend request?

anyway, friendships in Party Poker are not relevant, you have almost no risk adding friends.

More often than not if you get a friend request from someone you don't recognise they ask for the CC freeroll password.

Password thief :bandit:that makes sense good response Scokyl lol :D
Or maybe a missclick or was an aquaintance from Casino or school or god knows where:icon_scra
Would keep friendships on big pokersites to a minimum do not want site accusing you of collusion
or maybe I am wrong thoughts on this all?

Not sure how it is at Party, but if it is possible to find people via friendlist, maybe he also just wanted to tag you by this to find you again. Some people at PKR were using there this function as well, especially when they was removing the previews of the cash tables and SNG tables. It was a mean of finding the for them "profitable" players again.
Well, please don't get me wrong, I don't want to say anything about how you are playing as I don't know, how you play.

I wasn't really worried about it. It just seems so strange to me that a friend request could go unnoticed for over six months. I looked for it again today and it took forever (over five minutes - that's interwebz for forever) just to find it. I went to parts of my "account" that I forgot existed because I clearly haven't been there in over six months.

Hmmm, ulterior motives - I like it.

CC PW thief makes total sense. If this is a misclick, I am in awe. I don't even recall seeing a "send friend request" button.

If this guy is tagging me, he is more obtuse than he appears - and that's pretty obtuse. I think I would eat him alive if we were regularly on the same table. I'll notice now that I've noted him. :D
