Back in 2010 when the hype was still big, I once had an interesting experience at PartyPoker. Of course, this can't be proven, since I didn't take any screenshots. But what I can say is that I played a lot of online
blackjack back then, which meant that as a young man I lost everything again and again. At some point, the deposits increased and Party Poker has provided me at that time the money immediately before the transfer was also carried out. So I also gambled away these entries, first €50, then €100 and at some point I even got to withdraw €500 once which I also gambled away. Interestingly, my bank rejected all these entries, so Party Poker tried weekly to withdraw these amounts.
Each time a debit did not work, a fee of 20€ was added. Since I was doing a lot of small transactions, you can imagine that there was a weekly fee of about 300-400€ just for the transactions.
In the end I called Party Poker and told them that I was a young man with little money and could not balance the money. I was now somewhere around 2500€ in the red.
What happened after that call, some may call lucky, others "scam".
That night I deposited another 25€ and got one BlackJack after another. Not in a row but every second-third time a blackjack.
So within 30 minutes I turned €25 into about €2500. I immediately paid out the 2000€ and continued playing with the 500€. However, I lost this immediately again.
Of course, nothing was paid out to me, much more the money was balanced with the minus on my account. The difference was that I could deposit and play normally again.
I can hardly believe that I was so lucky. It is of course possible but there are just too many consecutive situations that resemble a lottery hit.
So yes, I think operators can and do manipulate when they think it's necessary. It's just like in politics. Power is abused there, too, but you don't always notice it.
