ACR- after the update, it became personally difficult for me to withdraw funds.
888 poker - as always, support is one name.
Pokerstars - the complete absence of rakeback is just an illusion, all shares are turned into a lottery (there is no normal reward)
Therefore, you choose.

I used to only play on Poker Stars. Stayed loyal to them for probably over 10 years, but then it seemed to change. The rewards now take forever to get, and are not nearly as good as they used to be. I'm also finding that insanely ridiculous, runner runner type bad beats, that ALWAYS reward a player who pushes all in, AFTER a preflop re-raise, and with a TOTAL GARBAGE hand, have increased DRAMATICALLY. And yes, I know bad beats are going to happen anywhere at times, but that particular situation seems to happen very often on Poker Stars now, where it seldomly did before. I finally ended up cashing out and refuse to put any more money on their site. I will still play free rolls, or home games, and play with the money won from those, but it just doesn't seem worth it to me anymore.

I opened an 888 account about a month or 2 ago. So far it seems ok. Wins, losses, a few bad beats, a few lucky catches. Definitely has less players than Poker Stars. I find there are a lot of fish on the site, but that's going to happen anywhere. I do sometimes have trouble finding a cash table that has enough players for me to want to sit at, but it depends on the time of day, and there always seems to be something I can get into. Free rolls are alright, it's actually nice not to have every single one filled with 10,000 or more players.

I also just signed up at ACR 2 days ago. I haven't deposited money on it yet, but will when I'm a bit more familiar with it. They seem to have a nice amount of free rolls, and I like that they have those $10 on demand tournaments where you can play without making a deposit, to win a small, up to $2.50 in real money (usually with under 500 players). This is giving me a chance to test out different types of games/tables on their site before making my deposit. I can see myself playing here more often.

I have yet to try party poker. I did sign up, but can't play any free rolls without 1st making a deposit, so since I can't test it out that way (I know I could use play money to try it, but it just doesn't feel the same to me), I'm in no rush to make a deposit. Probably will at some point, but not anytime soon.

I agree with what you wrote about Pokerstars.
I've been playing Stars for a long time, but I try more and more with other sites because the player pool has changed a lot. One freeroll can no longer sit without one or two bingo players sitting at the table. They totally ruin the game and the most annoying thing is when 2 7 takes my ace pair. Unfortunately, the 888 is unavailable to me, so I can't comment on it, but ACR is pretty good.
I also play on Unibet. I think that is also good enough.

888 used to be available in South Africa, you cannot register anymore. I still have an account but when I tried to validate it they refused so I can play but not withdraw.

ACR does service our country but if I have to pick between their software and PokerStars there is no contest, Stars is far superior.

What do you think?

888 has better cash out turn around time than pokerstars in my experience, if that helps.

good luck

ya know I find my self thinking like this time to time, I play on both sites, and takes break from pokerstars for awhile and play 888 or vice versa, I really enjoy pokerstars structure and payout range, along with the bounty builder games, 888 is amazing also I found my self cash 3500$ in my first few months on there, and nothing but success since, I like how they have smaller games and give people a chance to really build, so I’m 50-50 on both sites

I am not to sure anymore . It was 888 poker. But lately I have had good hands and have lost to hands that I am not sure why you would go all in with. My last hand today I started with K, Q of hearts. I was unable to get a pair or heart dealt. I lost to someone who went all-in with a pair of 6's.
They have a good selection of games each day. Lots of free-roll and free games as you level up.

a personal-decision, depending on which site you've collected the most bad beats (longer in mind than equal winnings)!
I'm actually at ACR or PokerStars playing. I do not trust the whole "888/Party-family" , insecure & modern robbery in my opinion !

I don't see the difference from one card room to the next except little tweaks here and there, still miracle cards appear from thin air at all of them.Poker Stars has always been the leader but they seem to be getting cheaper by the day, none of them seem to be going out of their way to give us the wow factor

I play on PokerStars (or DID). My wife started playing for fun and the second she added real money she was frozen out. They wanted her Drivers license. She sent it. Then they wanted a pic of her holding it. Done. Now a week after they froze her and 2+ days after providing what they wanted, no reply from them yet and still frozen. One big difference though, is they have now limited my account saying it is a routine check and it should complete in a few minutes or I would get an email stating my next steps to fix this. 37+ hours later still limited and still no email. VERY unhappy that I am treated like a criminal by them especially since I only play on MY laptop or MY cell phone and do not do anything remotely suspicious. Absolutely ridiculous. At this point my attitude is AVOID them. If I get a satisfactory explanation, that might change, but I doubt it. I doubt either a satisfactory explanation OR a change in my attitude.

I hope this helps anyone wondering where to play(or where not to).
I had the same issue with me and my brother. Reason more then likely is because multiple accounts were made under same iP address. It's a pain but it does protect players from having more then one account with same ip so players can sit down at a table with 2 accounts. Send pokerstars a msg explain that. Next time one use data other use wifi. Should be good
