100% agree! (I just picked up another $11 and currently have 3x $11, & 2x $1.50).

AND... you can get all this stuff for free (I'll admit this weekend I fired up some of those 50c SPINS to get more tickets, lol.. won 10x out of 16 tries)

I just can not resist playing the free 50 cent spin and go but it can lead to a lot of time spent playing satellites and it is time I really should be doing other things this time of year. The opportunity cost is just too high. Many days I just go all in with any two cards every hand but surprisingly that approach wins quite often.

Despite expanding the buy-in and making some changes to the game structure, Stars did not actively promote their new game. Stars studied how competitive Power Up was. And judging by the signing of ambassadors exclusively for the hybrid game, the poker room is convinced of its profitability.

But doesn't it take the same amount of time to play the game to the best of your ability?
It doesn't take a lot of brain power to play those satellite games (correct?), so why not just add them in at the same time as you're playing in other games online... then it's taking up ZERO extra time from your day so there's no time wasted playing them & everything to gain.

I watch a number of people playing them very poorly and I wonder "Why?"

I think that Power Path by Pokerstars is a very good idea and represents a good and real opportunity to play the tournaments with larger buy-ins and to gain experience. Plus, you can also win a lot, both in terms of money and as a ticket to really BIG tournaments. We need more chances like this one. Good luck to everyone.

In my opinion it is not a valuable game. I treat it only as a freerolls game, i.e. an additional free opportunity to build your bankroll a little, because almost all opponents are also playing for free, and their game is typical of freerolls. They have anything in their hand, they go all-in, and they do not pay attention to what action came before them. It's better to play micro tournaments (you will learn to respect your chips) or cash micro stakes (you will learn to read what your opponent may have and how to play good poker)

I just discovered something with the PowerPath promo.
Some of the time when you win an $11 ticket it will just put the $11 ticket into your account... but other times it will auto register you into the satellite for the next step!
Today I played a couple $1.50 satellites and a couple $11 satellites. I won 2 more $11 tickets. BUT what I didn't realize was that one of them was an 'auto-registered' into a game later today (late at night actually).
Just by fluke, I logged onto my computer (after I'd played MTT's all day and then til' just before 9pm ). Went out for dinner, came back home, logged onto Pokerstars to see if I'd won any cash game Leaderboard chests/prizes (I didn't win any... and actually I haven't won any in days and the Leaderboard thing seems to be glitching for my account because it often says I've COMPLETED all hands for the day when I KNOW I've only played maybe 50 hands in total). So I was about to log back off but then decided I check on the rest of the Mini EPT Cyprus schedule (in hopes of winning more PowerPath tickets, lol.. I'm hooked!). Imagine my surprise when a game pops up on my screen?!?!?!?!? WTF? It was a satellite with one of my $11 tickets

I didn't want to play now... it was 22:35 (time for me to watch some TV & take my dog for a walk!).
So I shoved allin with AK the first hand I was dealt (mostly out of frustration.... wasting my $11 ticket.. sigh). I get called by one of the blinds. THey're holding JJ. Flop comes KKX.. and they don't improve! I've doubled up on the very first hand. But I still didn't think I would play this game. (I didn't want to play... I'd played MTTs ALL DAY already). A few more hands & I decide to play it out.

Just won another $109 ticket!

I went to check my account to see if it was listed with the rest of my tickets. Hmm.. it wasn't there

Sure enough I find myself pre-registered to the game that starts tomorrow at 12:05PT (15:05 ET). So I unregistered and now the ticket is in my account.

TLDR
WHen you win a ticket in a satellite, be sure you've been awarded the ticket and check to see that you haven't been registered into another tournament instead.

Months ago i had a similar experience. I was auto registered after winning in a 1.50 satellite. I only opened the software by "accident" to do a p2p and to my surprise a tournament was running and i was already down to 8bb or something like that. It ran already for around 30 minutes with me blinding out.

I made some frustration plays and managed to comeback with a lot of luck. It resulted in a 22 dollar wcopp ticket.

Really dont like that auro reg process but its a good thing im aware of it now 🌞
