3 betting facing a 4bet shove with two jacks

I play mostly freerolls and microstake MTT's and I'm having trouble with pocket jacks. The situation I keep getting in is someone opens I'll have jacks and 3bet then face a 4bet shove. Obviously it's hard to understand when you should stack off without more information, but as a default at these stakes with no reads should we be putting our stack in the middle?

definately depends and we can not answer this question without real information

if this is early in an MTT pocket jacks arent worth the race, as a general rule early in an MTT your wanting to set mine

if its mid MTT it all depends on the stacks involved if your <20 big blinds i would of been putting my stack in regardless, at this stage i would be making the other person decide whether to race cus im wanting the double up...

if its late stages of the MTT then you should already know who your chips are coming from, or if you need the double up then again i would of been sticking my chips in, cus by doing this your forcing your opponent to decide whether he is willing to put his stack at risk and can win either by him folding or racing and winning

microstakes ....people go allin for multiple reasons including they just feel like it with a 2-7 off

Tough to respond on Freerolls, because as stated anyone can go allin with anything. If you are playing a 10$ buyin and up usually a 4 bet means AA or KK so it would be wise to fold if 4 bet with JJ

I always shove all fisici 10 and above need to take risks in poker, no risk, no win

as a standard i'd be getting it in if say you 3bet a normal 3x amount and they just instajam like 100bb in the middle i would snap call that. If they make like a 3x 4bet it's likely they are better than average so i'd likely fold more often in general.

so if they jam i'd call as they are likely bad and have no real idea, if they 4bet a normal amount i'd just fold or flat and get it in postflop if no A or K hits, either or works for me.

Missing information needed to answer this question and figure out the correct play:
1. Chipstacks
2. Blind level
3. What's your position
4. How much was the raise
5. How much is your 3bet
6. How much is his 4bet shove (chipstacks)
7. What information do you have on your opponent. Is he loose, tight, aggro, passive?
8. How many players are in the tournament
9. How many are left


The most important information though is how deep your chipstack is. If youre shortstacked, then yes, put it in the middle mist of the time. If youre not short stacked then most of the time don't.

I agree with mbrenneman0... give us some info.
Even if it's freeroll. Answer will be different when You will play on blinds 10/20 or on FT.
we can possibly skip information about opponent style, but information about phase of tournament, stacks etc. are very important

think he's just after general thoughts, not specific examples.....
