Chat during online play

Always fun to have some random chat with some random people around the world. Or at least watch some random conversations. The best part is the whinning of course.

In online poker I do not use chat during the game. Chatting distracts me from playing poker. Sometimes I turn on chat during CardsChat freerolls.

I think chatting is cool at the poker table because it makes the game more enjoyable. However when players become offensive to others I think that their chats should be disabled.

I enjoy chatting - especially with those players who are ultra aggro, but often times you can mellow them out or get the to TILT off by playing counterstrike kindness against them. IE
HIM - Shut up donk ATM
ME -Thank you - btw I love your avatar
HIM - Your a Freeroll Fish
ME - Yes I love fishing - my favorite is Flounder - what is yours?

Gets them so tilty --- and distracted!!!

As for sharing holdings - with good players - I always ask them what they think I had, to get some info out of them - to see where there mind is at. Giving info is another story. With good players - I give them leveled information IE
HIM show the bluff - or nice bluff
ME - If a set was a bluff - I guess I made a good bluff === when I bluff and it gets through.

HIM - I'm folding the best hand -
ME - Only if you can beat 4 of a kind.

If someone is acting mean - I will surely show a bluff to that person - setting him up for the next hand.

In our CC freerolls - I will often times show my cards and/or tell my holdings in chat if asked.
I like our CC community and hope everyone improves - ESPECIALLY ME - so sharing information in my mind is helpful and friendly.

Chat doesn't bother me at all - even is someone is being a complete aggro-fool. I do however get a little twixted by one-outer suckouts.

I use chat during the game, it does not distract me, but on the contrary it gives pleasure to communicate with other players

I only use to say nice hand or something like that, but I dont like to use a lot.

If I'm at a quiet table I'll use chat to say nice hand and that's about it.

When playing with people that like to chat I talk a bit with others but it doesn't reveal anything to my game at all. It's just a way to stay entertained while looking what's happening.

This is where I hate the chat. Especially when they donk you really good and then laugh or brag or whatever. But hey! That's the game also, to get into your opponents head and mess with them. But abusive chat behavior shouldn't be tolerated. I think most have a "reporting" tool though (honestly never looked for a reporting option ever).

I just don't chat. I don't know if you can really get a tell or information just by chatting. Its not like playing live where maybe you can pick up something

I am not the type of person to write in the tournaments chat, at this moment I try to think how a person can get information like this, I suppose it is comments about certain plays and that kind of things, I do not use the chat not to not to give information but I simply don't see the need, unless a person who knows write to me

I think it's best not to have distractions during the game, often chat during the game can distract you and you can make bad decisions.

I see no reason to use chat

Good question, I do not use it, sometimes they ask me coss and I avoid answering them, maybe I should change that in me and the chat use it as a tool to improve my game.
