Personally, I would not like to make a final table deal. Many see it as ideal. It is not my case. I prefer to go for everything and achieve the goal that is to win.

I never made a deal on the final table, because on micro-limits it is meaningless

It really depends on many things. Are blinds too high, how long are we playing, what is the difference in prices, how many people there are, how many short stacks are left ...

Yes, most of the time I do attempt to make a deal.
There are very few exceptions, like when rather by accident than consequence, I am in a good chip lead and there is obvious chance to take the 1st place. Unless I have a chance to fight for 1st, I do try to make a deal.

in poker, there is no guarantee of victory if you reach the final with the mind of your opponent too, so insurance is a better option

If there are weak players at the table, you can try to win the tournament without a deal, but if the players at the table are stronger than me, I prefer to share !!! I will definitely check the statistics of the players before concluding or not concluding a deal !!!

During my playing career I twice made a deal !!!

For online poker, I only made 1 final table. It was the first online tournament I played with a free $1 ticket from PS. There's really no sense making a deal for a $1 buy-in. I ended up in 3rd for about $30. I'm sure at some point I'll make the final table again (been getting close a lot), so I'll have to at least consider it if the situation occurs. Most likely, I'll decline and go for the win.

It depends on what type of tournament it is, there are certain PokerStars tournaments that at the beginning indicate the rules and inform you if it is possible to reach an agreement at the final table of the tournament, I think, if it is a good prize, there are few players and since fatigue is a factor that can play against you, the best thing would be an arrangement equivalent to the number of chips that each player has, although most players sometimes become greedy and do not accept these deals :(

For me, when I get to the final table, I have a certain amount of money I am okay with taking if I don't get first. If the deal doesn't reach that amount and I an in the top 2 of the table, I keep going. It may cause others to get upset once they get knocked out and you start saying you will now start to make a deal, and that is just part of the game.

If you are in the bottom of the chip stacks, it's either deal making time or double up time. If you see spots of trying to steal, I say play on.

If they can be fair, I'll take a deal every time, even if I'm sure I'm a better player. Payouts are too top-heavy and variance to great a factor not to.

I have done according to the cc freerrool. It has many variables involved, such as your confidence and skill, their fatigue and the state you can detect the other opponents.

One time I didn't and I'll never forget it. We were down to 3 people in a $600 buy-in Omaha 8 or better tournament. I was the chip leader and the others wanted to split. I said no and got knocked out first. It cost me thousands. Not saying I'll split it every time now but I'll think about it long and hard first.

Never been involved in any deals and rarely have made it to the final tables. I probably would not initiate one or accept one if its in violation of the tournament policy otherwise it depends on the chip count and other factors. Still would likely not either way because I would like to how far I could go towards first place.

On 888 Poker deals are incredibly simple. On the final table players can click "make deal", and a symbol will then appear next to the player. If all players have done that, the distribution of prices will be calculated by the server based on ICM, and players can then either accept or refuse. I have never seen this happen with more than 2-3 players left.

if we take into account the variance, it is better to divide, if there is no leadboard or other nuans

I’ve never taken a deal at the very beginning of a final table, but there are times where I’ve agreed to deal when short-handed (most frequently when heads-up). The most common scenario for this is taking an ICM chop (/chip chop if heads-up) when up against good tournament regardless where I think everyone’s edge is pretty similar.

I think that the important thing is to never take a deal just because people are pressuring you into it (something I encounter a lot in live games), and only because you find it advantageous versus taking the time to play it out.

Pretty much the way I see it also. For some of us, myself included, it might also factor into the decision making, that we are not heads-up specialist, and maybe we dont even enjoy heads-up all that much. If that be the case, and the opponent is not obviously bad, then why not just take the spot off and take home the money, we made already. Online saving time can also be a factor, especially if again we are not particularly looking forward to play a heads-up match.

I personally don't like deals ... play what you have .. play your game .. play your opponents range and let it fall where it may ... I will say that I did this one time and I suppose a caveat to all I said is how long has this been going on lol ... I was tired and had a horrible headache so at that point in time a deal was welcome because my brain was too fried to do all the things I said at first :p
