In turbo games, a plus factor - which can divert attention from the game - is watching the passage of time.
You are forced to move sooner and you play differently, which can change your basic concept even during normal games.

I rather have turbo because on regular games they just take so long that I just start making stupid moves and rebuying just to get a chip stack

I prefer to play in regular tournaments because there is room for maneuver!!! In Turbo and Hyper Turbo tournaments, basically, most of the game is based on the ability to play push-fold, that is, there is more variance in the game!!!

When I started playing poker, I strongly preferred tournaments with regular speed blind intervals. But as I have played more and more, I have increasingly warmed up to faster formats, since they reduce the amount of time, you need to set aside to play a tournament. And to some extend the faster increasing blinds are compensated by faster action. Hyperturbo MTTs on Stars are generally played at 6-max or 7-max tables, which speed up the action, and players also have less time to act.

With SnGs there is not even that much of a choise any more, since turbos run far more often than games with regular speed blinds. On PokerStars some formats like 18-man SnGs or Fifty/50 are not offered with regular speed blinds any more, and with on-demand SnGs the only regular speed games are those for 0,25$ and 1$. So unless you want to play these very low buyins, or play 6/9-man SnGs and wait longer for games to fill, you have to play turbos.

I prefer to play the regulars, to have time to come to the good hands.
but I advise poker beginners to play the turbo, especially if you don't know the basic rules of poker such as: preflop raise, 3-bet in position and out of position, squeeze and c-bet according to the board.

it depends . sometimes i like turbo because it is ....well ....faster ......

regular tournaments take longer and can be draining . however regular or slow tournaments are less luck based compared to turbo

in turbo the blinds eat you up quicker

and being deep + more time until the limits go up = you can play your game better and can develop a better strategy

I like regular tournaments. I play hyper tournaments when they are only freerolls. Hypertournaments are a lottery. I prefer tournaments where the blinds increase every 10 minutes.
