Today I am not here to complain about a bad beat (surprise) I just want share my 2 nd place finish last night! NLH freeroll at ACR with almost a 1300 field.

Ya, I know several hours of playing to get the massive prize money, $5.87!! Played until 4:30 am. Is it worth it?

For me, yes 😜. Why? 🤔 It gives me discipline, controlling my temper (a work in progress🫣) learning player dynamics the list goes on. The feeling of when it all comes together, well there's nothing I can compare it with!! Just a great feeling...

It's not the wsop but for me it's an achievement even though it was only 2nd place.

Next, playing Micros... I will continue playing freerolls to fund the micro mtts.

Last week I placed in the money 7 times, not big money but it will give me something to play with! 🤑
Best of luck at the tables...
Thanks for listening🥱🥱😜

This is such a great approach to playing the game! I agree that freerolls and low-stakes large-field tourneys aren't going to be profitable in terms of "earnings per hour." But they do teach wonderful things about how to play against all types of players, if/when someone is willing to learn.

Congratulations on your placing in the money and even more congratulations on such a wonderful attitude towards the game.

I feel better playing freerolls than paying buy-ins in tournaments.

Sometimes I also ask myself if it's worth to spend so much time to only win cents or a few dollars and usually for me the answer is no..lol
That's why I never only play poker, I'm usually doing something else at the same time.

If you have time, it's always worth playing freerolls; it's risk-free money that can boost your bankroll to play in tournaments with buy-ins.

I ask myself the same question when I was playing on PS freeroll's for newcomers 10000 ppl in playing 3-4 hours place like 136 wins 0.02 $. The truth is that at some point it was nice to play after reaching top 2000 ppl start playing poker like in the real tournaments, and i enjoyed it.

Vale a pena?

Boa sorte nas mesas...
Obrigado por ouvir🥱🥱😜
The experience you got was worth a lot right

I don't play freerolls other than CC freerolls. The others have a HUGE number of wild and crazy entrants all feverishly vying to win a fraction of a few cents. The CC freerolls usually have a small number of entrants, the potential to win a few dollars is high, and the play is generally pretty good.

But more to your question - I play freerolls because I like to play poker but don't want to get so serious about it that I risk hundreds or thousands of dollars just to get my fix.

I play the CC Freerolls because they are better than others offer as build (rhythm, limited and costly rebuy etc). You can actually enjoy a 2 hour poker session in the evening.

The reason to play them is to work on your game and and have a low risk way to improve their bankroll.

He who likes to play poker, plays many tables for the simple fact that it is fun. One can get bored playing any other card game, but not with poker. It is a duel, a battle of intelligence between one and the others, and the variants are infinite, beyond money.

Poker teaches you to be more patient, more calculating, and not to underestimate the other player. Believe me, when you finish playing for several hours a day, your brain is fried.

One thing I love about freerolls is the storytelling. Every deep run has its own little arc—hero calls, suckouts, chip swings. I’ve had sessions where I started with 5BB and ended up final tabling, and even if the prize was $3, it felt epic 😂. It’s like playing poker for the plot sometimes, and that keeps it fun when the stakes are low.

You can also win money in free tournaments, especially during the holidays.
