What are your achievements in Frerolls? Where are a lot of players??? In my opinion, it's easier to win a tournament with big tm entries than free ones where everyone enters all in

Hello no tournament is easy. but freerolls are played more calmly because you don't have to pay and there are many

My experince with freerolls is that with tight play and patience you will reach further than most. Most players are occupied with getting a lot of poker action and dont notice a tight player.

From my experience, freerolls are actually harder than they look. 😅 There’s so much chaos early on — half the table goes all-in with any two cards — so patience is everything. I usually tighten up for the first levels and start playing only once the crazy part is over. If you can survive the early madness, that’s when real poker begins!

Freerolls are not much different from micro-limit tournaments with a $1 buy-in. Just don't risk all your chips in the first 10 minutes. After that, the game will be more like poker.

Free rolls are a good way to practice different strategies that won’t cost you any money. Good way to practice self control also.

Freerolls are always a good option for beginners who don't want to risk their money. When betting real money, the game changes a bit, and you have to adapt your strategy accordingly.

buy-in tournaments are tougher. In freerolls you'll get players calling down with garbage making it super easy to chip up.

I agree with you to some extent. In freerolls, many players don’t take the game seriously and just go all-in every hand, so there’s a lot of luck involved in the early stages. In regular MTTs, players are usually more careful since they’ve paid to enter, which makes the game more skill-based. It might be harder to win overall, but your decisions matter more and you can build consistency in the long run.

It depends on the player; some prefer to play more cautiously in tournaments where they have to spend money to participate, while others play seriously in all tournaments, both free and paid. I, on the other hand, am more of a "fish" (a term used in brazil to describe someone who plays cautiously), in paid tournaments I try to do my best, in free tournaments not so much.

It's simple if you have a bank account.

I don't think a free tournament is easier than a buy-in tournament; each tournament has its own level of complexity. We can compare a free-entry tournament to, say, a buy-in tournament with over $500. What can make a tournament difficult is the seriousness with which it's played. In a free tournament, many of us play with a certain amount of freedom, taking risks that we would never take in a high-stakes tournament.

The worse your opponents play, the easier it is to win. Also your cant even lose in freerolls, so why is this even an interesting subject? If you dont cash in a freeroll, you still have the same nothing, that you had, before it began.

Freerolls are a great way to build a starting bankroll if you don't want to risk your money.

Freerolls are madness, fighting 1000 donkey's and fish, just like super micro's.

Your AKs you 4bet is gonna get called by 34s and they'll fish you out calling every street, requires a bit more attention to try and read peoples wild plays, no money to respect.

People are gonna jam A7s UTG because they got a vibe...

Good players experimenting with new styles, etc etc etc.

My favourite approach to these types is to seriously tighten up, but you can't be afraid they'll suck you out everytime, or you'll win tiny pots and get nowhere.

I very much so disagree with a lot of the sentiment towards freerolls, in here.

It will probably teach you poor poker unless you are already in the know, a bit.

I much rather play buyins than freerolls. You win more, the play is more serious, and you have deal with far less players who think its smart to limp to sitters.

Freerolls are wild .I’ve cashed a few, but honestly the fields are insane because everyone’s jamming all-in with trash hands. It feels more like a lottery than poker half the time. Bigger buy-in MTTs are actually easier in a way since players take it seriously and you can apply real strategy. In freerolls, surviving the chaos in the first hour is the real achievement
