Sit and Go's can be a good way to make a profit at poker whether you're a beginner or a pro.

In addition to being a type of poker where you can build a bankroll in less time and still gain experience to play MTT because the final stretch of a Sit and Go is very similar to the final stretch of an MTT.

There are several sit and go types for example:

Sit&Go 9 players
Sit&Go 18 players
Sit&Go 45 players

It can be regular, turbo and hyper.

When I was still active at PS, 9-max turbos were my jam. Nowadays I exclusively play MTTs though, Cardschat changed my habits.

Over the past couple of years, Sit and Go tournaments (SNGs) have become one of the most popular forms of online poker tournaments and are now even becoming more common in live games (thanks to the fact that they are regularly hosted by brick and mortar casinos). These short tournaments provide the same amount of action as the larger "MTT tournaments" (multi-table tournaments), but take much less time to take home the top prize. Many online players make good money playing Sit and Go tournaments. I play them sometimes at pokerstars.

I used to play 45 player sits and gos, and I made money there, but then I lost it playing bigger tournaments.

I like to play and do 45 player sit volume, turbo and regular, I currently play 9 games a day, it's little more to pretend to increase over time

I played SnGs HU most of the time with a regular structure. Now i'm playing Turbo SnGs HU. Heads-up is my favorite, although i also love MTTs.

Mostly 45 person sit and gos for me. I'm not a big fan of the turbos and won't play the hypers.

And what buy-in and what ROI did you achieve in these tournaments? I myself like tournaments with a small number of participants, but i have never tried to play them regularly as a main discipline, so the statistics of the game are small...

I regularly play 9 players turbo sit&go tournaments from micro to medium stakes depending on my bankroll. I find them fun and rewarding if played with patience. They are also a good way to get your money back after getting knocked out of an MTT.

I've played a lot of Sit&Go 45 players $,0.25 on Pokerstars, but now I'm only playing Cardschat freerolls. Sit&Go's at these values, you'll find many recreational players, it's even easy to get the money, the big problem is the bed beats. Good luck to everyone at the tables.:)

And i'm just now reading Collin Moshman's book on SnGs. I'm also going to try to play 9-max. Already read up to the middle. Is this book outdated yet?

What is your ROI at the lowest stakes you play?

P.S. Nice typo :D

That's a good read and his 30day course is awesome too if you haven't taken it yet.
At the lowest stakes, the least I could say is that I'm doing way much better than at the MTTs.

I had grinded 9 player SnGs and 27 player SnGs at normal (10 min) BB level for about year and half from $1 to $10, Playing SnGoes allowed me to schedule about 4 hour sessions. I have switched to mainly grind MTT with few Jackpot SnG to change up the routine.

Usually I play a 6max stgo, or a 9 players stgo and a few times a 45 players, in several sites, depending from the version of each site.

I play 9 players sit&go's at PS, more than that and Id rather play MTT s. However I like the ones for cash prizes , not the step ones. With a small bankroll you need the patience of a rock and plenty of spare time to be able to get into a huge buyout tourney from cents..

Sit&Go 45 players.
I like this format the most and I have pretty good results. But I don't play in hyper tournaments.

I've played sit and go tables before. Yes, this is a good stage of tables for learning to play in tournaments. These tables are especially good for honing the tactics of playing at the last table. After all, at big tournaments you don’t often get to the last table and it’s problematic to get the skills to play at the last table in this case.

I only play in MTT tournaments. I also used to play in Sit & Go, but now I have focused all my attention on regular MTT tournaments.

If you have a big stack, then the Sit and Go strategy is to play only strong hands. My advice is to play less often and only attack with monster combinations. If you have a medium or small stack left, then your range of hands increases. Here you need to play as aggressively as possible and intimidate opponents with frequent all-in.Since many people are afraid of being eliminated from the tournament, they prefer to fold to such sharp bets.

9 max SNG turbo. Just started to get the hang of it. I like the low variance. Starting to build a small roll
