Playing only tournaments requires a lot of money because you will experience bad stages no matter how well you play. I think it is essential for anyone who wants to be a good tournament player to be good at cash games.

I like tournaments much more than a regular game. I like the element of rivalry. There is a motivation, the further you go to the tournaments, the more your winnings will be. But everyone thinks differently.

I like both, but I can't play cash for too long just because it makes me upset, even if I win I just don't feel comfortable, and at tournaments I can play for hours and I just feel good :D

I like playing tournament because i wish can make a deep run, and get a big money with low buy in.

As for me the tournaments are the games with strategy and tactics. You're looking for best way to survive and rise. And of course there you can make your best with experience, so a prize can be bigger.

I have a small bankroll, that's why I play tournaments. I'm trying to win more money with small investments. When I have money in 100 buy-ins for playing nl10, I will grind there.

In Cash Game have both sides of the coin, in the same way you can hit the game and earn money fast your adversary can also do it and get you lots of money in short time, I particularly when playing cash I put a limit In which I can lose, reaching this limit I stop playing and do not get frustrated or worried about my bankroll

I like tournaments because everyone starts with the same amount of chips. In cash game sure i can start with 200 and so can you but you may have 10k in your bank account where I only have 10$ to my name which means I am going to play way differently. Bank accounts play less fo a factor in tournaments.

Also if you go to the casino with a limited amount of money 100$ can last you one hand in a cash game, where if you play a tournament you could be entertained for hours.

I also think it takes more skill and more time to master, therefore make it more interesting. Each stage of a tournament takes different tactics.

This is what I mean talking about really meaningful response. Totally agree with you.

I only play tourneys. I love how complex they are, how strategy shifts though the different stages of a tourney. And yes, of course, wining is great. When you have gotten everyone's chips after all that time invested, the high is awesome :)

They're far more relaxing to me. I like to ease into a game.

In cash games, you can lose money very quickly... but it usually takes long to win some money... I haven't been having good experiences on cash games. In tournaments, you don't lose money quickly and you can make a lot of money if you place well - like top 5.

Definitely prefer tourneys due to the fact people can't just do a hit and run like I've seen so many times in live cash games.. guy sits at a table doubles up and leaves.. that same fella wouldn't get past the first lot of blinds in a tourney

I prefer tournaments because I think you can get more profit in them than in a cash table (of course if you get a good result)

I prefer cash, and sits and go, also play tournaments, but what I like about tournaments is that sometimes you play for 5 or 6 hours, and when you're close to good prizes, go with AA or KK removed.

Personally, I'm attracted by the prize for first place. And besides, in the tournament you always need to be in the game, unlike the cash games, where you can wait for a good hand

The grind to get there and then the end makes it all worth it. Even making a final table would make my week most of the times!!

In cache, there is no such pleasure when you finally get to the final table, and feelings of joy will overwhelm you.

You can lose more money playing tournament games, but in in cash games being unlucky will not make you lose money overall. Luck plays bigger role in tournaments.

I like tournaments more because there is measure in them. You give only the buy in and nothing more. The pressure is less than cash games. You gather more experience, they are more exciting and you can win more money.

It's the opportunity to make more while risking less. Also they're just more fun to play.
