Why do you prefer tournaments instead of cash games?

Because in a tournament you gain more money. than in cash games

I think tournaments have an added level of competition and require strategy that is influenced by external factors like the bubble, etc. That is pretty fun. I think I like tournaments better because I like being able to set time aside to play instead of just coming and going. I want to be able to say, okay I am buying in here and I'm going to play until the chips run out. In cash, the chips only run out when you are broke. So it can be harder to stop tilt.

There are many variables involving cash games. Is harder to control the tilt, you have to be more disciplined than in tournaments to control the downswings.

I prefer tournaments because it offers a more dynamic gameplay and I get a lot of enjoyment when my hard work pays off and I get into late phase/final table.

Cash games might be more profitable, but they're way too tedious for me.

Maybe because of the spirit of competition?
Or the satisfaction from winning a tournament is more remarkable?

I like them both, but, when my bankroll is dow to the ground, jus forget about ring games, and concentrate in earn some cash to play a micro cash games buy in. Also they have their own particularities and difficulties. for example, cash games we can play any time and be not tied to the table, but can easily lose all of your money if you don't have a constantly discipline.
