I open with 10s. A shortstack 3bets & the crazy guy flats from SB. I suspect his range is wide so I shove. Both calls.

He had Jacks while the short stack had AK.
9JQflop and a heart turn giving me a BDFD but the board held for jacks.

Not satisfied the way I played. People play really crazy here.

Will play a bit conservative tmrw onward.

I'm getting fed up with cash games to be honest. Playing at stars specifically. Variance most of the time seems to go against me & the other times I'm just not playing good and loosing.

Specially at stars.
Yesterday's session, went up 3 buy ins in the afternoon & went down 3 at midnight.
Today's single session right now, started with a 2 buy in loss, turned it into a 2buyin profit & now down 4buy ins. All in 1,5k hands

Kings vs Aces, Queens vs Aces, bluffs going wrong...
Feels so hopeless at times.

Will move the cash scene away from stars

There are 2 main poker rooms I play at.


One of them, let's say for example, I make $10 per hour.


The other one I make $4 per hour.




Which room should I go to?






I think you need to work on your game selection, or learn how to adjust somewhat to zoom. I am sure there are spots adjustments could be made. Not all games play the same. Zoom to me sounds like a game we just have to have the goods, and bluffing would be largely unsuccessful.


They have "zone" on bovada. I played 15 or 20k hands a couple years ago at $5 NL. Bluffing was futile.




So, game selection man. Don't play games that you aren't profitable in. Spend time at tables you win at. Or adjust.

Seems like it's a reoccuring issue for you. Even though you know it's variance, it affects your play.
Have you tried taking a longer break from poker? Like a week or more? It helped me quite a lot.
