Best NLHE cash game strategy book?

BlackRains E-book (he may have paper back now) Crushing the Microstakes. Specifically written about playing micro-stakes.

I took a look at it. From what I've seen so far, it has some good points, some points I'm not going to be able to use so well because they essentially require a poker HUD and I'm never, ever going to use those

"how often do suited connectors hit a win" is different than I've thought? Why put yourself in a position where if you're called, you're pretty much guaranteed to be the one who needs to hit?

I've read it a couple times & didn't have a HUD. Sure when he's giving a description of players he uses stuff like vpip/pfr to do so. I think that even if you NEVER intend on getting/using a HUD, it'd still be beneficial to know what those numbers are representing (as far as player type/styles, etc. goes). Many HH posts give a description of villain by presenting vpip/pfr

David Sklansky and Ed Miller’s No Limit Hold’em Theory and Practice is a great reference book – it covers critical concepts like reading hands and manipulating pots. Sklansky and Miller are poker experts, so you can trust them to have compiled a definitive work on the subject, and you get to learn from the experts themselves. Another great expert to look up is Dan Harrington and his Harrington on Hold’em volumes 1 and 2!

Hey guys looking some advice on some good cash game books, micros and higher stake cash as well! Have fell into a job where I can pretty much read all day so i want to stock up on lot's of them! Any good suggestions?

Thanks Ill get Dan Harringtons Vol 1 and 2, I am workin my way through his tournament books atm, they have changed my thought process and taught me to look at the game in different ways, great reads and the problems in the books are great for learning different scenarios

I plan to read Small Stakes No Limit but Ed Miller next and possibly one of Harringtons book. Anyone else have any suggestion for specifically 2NL or 5Nl?

That's a good idea. The only suggestion I'd add is Super System by Doyle Brunson. That belongs in any serious player's library.

Quantity isn't so important, but understanding definitely is. Better to read one book and really understand it than a dozen with superficial understanding. That means going back and really studying, play awhile, and come back for more study. See what worked for you and what didn't. Understand why something didn't work out, then try again.

NLHE cash isn't a game you learn in ten easy lessons. A hundred hard lessons may not be enough for that.
