Sometimes the need is sometimes an option , a lot more zavsit on which players play tight or losers ? As for me it takes about 25 minutes to learn that the opponents and understand when he is bluffing and when he 's not lying ! a sad fact that you are often transplanted to another table and have to start all over again ! :(

NO!!! I'm not saying you need to bluff every hand & I would strongly recommend doing that, however U MUST bluff to be a profitable poker player. There is ZERO chance I would currently be on a 23 winning session if I didn't bluff. Bluffing is a necessity, even if it is as simple as a semi-bluff on the flop with AK when you didn't hit an ace or king. Some people call that a continuation bet, but it is also a bluff.

Bluff - is continuation bet.
Continuation bet - is bluff barrel.
Bluff barrel - can be used only against smart villians, otherwise you will see HUGE NUMBER calls, not folds.
So, use bluff SMART 8)

continuation bet bluffing when you miss can be a very convincing story if the other player didn't make it or has subprime holdings. throwing a massive stack at the end when you have nothing and haven't told much of a story is not a great idea. you might win there, but are you getting the right odds in the long run. probably not.

it`s depends of cards. I`ve bluff many times, in cash or tournament games. I learn that 90% they call, so if you have something like 23, 59 even A10, don`t bluff, maybe raise, but not all in, cause there a chance for someone to win with pair of 2 or 3 of kind even if you have a good preflop hand.

it's a must in order to maximise your winnings. if you don't take any risk you simply won't ever realize your potential. that being said, reading your opponents and bluffing is a necessity because most of the time you won't have the winning hands

Bluffing is a must at times. Read your players. You'll see that some always bluff and some never bluff.

I would say that bluff are an 'integral part of the game. Sometimes for 15 minutes does not happen any decent pair and a win with such conditions? Bluffing is a very important tool if it did not use the chance to win a meager

I think that sometimes is better bluff if you're very tight on the tables and your opponents realized that. And bluff isn't bad, that is the object of the game, play with opponent's mind

depends on the table. if i'm at a really nitty table it's bombs away! with the bluffs. if i'm with a bunch of betters. I wait wait wait (for premium hand and/or premium flop) and then call call raise

Really , you can not play without cash bluff ... even poker ... if you want to be a complete player , climb the career ladder , make good moves , it is essential to know bluff , just lose the fear , and make good reads ... it's not just ' ' one of the pillars to be a good player , '' it is actually essential for any poker player. The game is about it!

In my opinion it is an option and not an obligation, part of the game is sometimes a good solution, when noticeable sucks. I'm not good at bluffing, but I'm good at perceiving a false bluff.

it all depends on the player against whom you play , is there any statistics on it , what range of cards you give him

Anything is "possible"

However, first we must distinguish between "bluffing" and "betting". To make a bet with nothing but "Air", is not actually a bluff. Its an educated guess based on INFORMATION.

And that information, for example, can be (a) does my opponent typically check when they have a hand? (b) do they typically fold when they do NOT have a hand? and (c) have I represented a hand pre-flop?

So "bluffing" can more appropriately be defined as making an educated guess. I hope this helps you answer your own question. Lets re-phrase it by asking

"Is it possible to win [MORE] by making an educated guess?"

Bluffing the micros and live 1/2 is detrimental.

Just bet, bet, bet when you have it, because players at these stakes will call you down with whatever.

Just wait for profitable spots.
