right, 50nl tables are reg infested on weekdays.

opinions on playing reg tables to improve/beat the bad regs? (obv playing fishy tables where I can find them)

I know this happens at midstakes so i'm gonna have to do it sometime.

right, got 2 spots for you guys.

preflop opener's pretty fishy, considered 3b pre but figured flatting was better and lower variance.

BB's a bad reg..

feels like an x/f since he only has flushes here right? he's never overflatting a worse set and overpairs all squeeze so.. draws, sigh.

I think I b/f Hand 1. Heart draw isn't the only draw he can hold, right? I feel like x/f is a little too exploitable here?

Hand 2, I know you're gonna get mad, but just fold pre to the open (I'm calling the 3bet once all that money is in there). Yes we have a SC, but 54 is gonna end up with lots of the bottom ends of straights, and extremely weak flushes, plus we're guaranteed to be out of position. But as played pre, I like the flop play. No reason to try to get aggro here getting 4:1. OTT obv nothing else to do. OTR, I mean both villains look weak, but if you think UTG can hero you here with a PP < KK, which I think is a realistic part of his range, then just fold. We get tons of fold from BB, but when BB folds, UTG is open to call. Not sure how often he folds a PP here, or if he ever heroes AQ or something here, but I'm just not thinking we have as much FE as we'd like.

Hand 1 x/c turn, raise flop moar. Villain will bluff this if he doesn't have hearts.

Hand 2 x/f river (or x/r if you have steel balls).

I like a bigger flop raise in hand 1 ($12).

Hand 2 is a fold pre.

54s is like the nut worst hand to play v a 54/9. he calls too much in general so play hands that flop decent pairs and dominate his range, not hands that require fold equity to be played profitably

Wat? Villains are nits. And they don't require FE to be profitable in this spot.

Yeah but the BTN is a 54/9 and that's who he said he was looking to play pots with. Flatting the open there is pretty bad.

Think $12 is overkill on the raise in hand 1, i'd make it $9 (guy we are targetting is only $37 deep too and $12 just makes it easy for people to play vs us)

Hand 2 i wanna say fold pre but i'm calling 76s there (cause of whale), thinking that i can atleast make it better than folding, so i can't really say calling 54s there with a whale in the hand is bad, probs getting close though but aslong as we don't go crazy post until we hit the right flops i think its probably fine, still wouldn't hate a fold though if someone did choose to take that line

Gotta draw a cutoff somewhere... I'm certainly never ever playing 32s here - are you?

But tbf my postflop abilities are prob not on par with most of the people commenting, and I think that's significant, since it obviously changes the playability/EV of certain hands.

A PSB would be ~$14 so I don't think $12 is too much at all and I really doubt the fish is folding his draws for $3 or $4 more.
