i dont know if that right micro omaha is easy to beat there in any micro game there is more coin flips and it is hard to move some one off his hand in this low stakes and poeple tend to gamble more and make hero calles more often i think that micro is another way of rooling the dice you need less skilles as just know your odds and go with it

omaha, 100%. but it is also harder to master and has more variance, meaning you may also lose quite a bit even when you have a big edge.

There's also not as many good PLO games running. A lot of live casinos don't even spread it. But for online play, at least right now, you can obtain higher win rates with PLO.

if you buy in for the minimum, you have to play like this:

1. sit to the *right* of aggressive players.
2. wait for AAxx and just limp, hoping somebody to raise the pot
3. reraise the pot, put as much money as you can into the pot
4. leave the table and rebuy with the minimum.

I think that's the only way you can be profitable with minimum buy in for PLO

If you are going to play any game you want the best advantage you can have. And that also means buying in for the max. If you are learning and don't want to risk your whole bankroll play the shallow stack tables at FT. They meet your requirement.

It's possible to practice good BRM and buyin for 100 BBs. PLO is a postflop game and shortstacking doesn't you anything other than to go all in on the flop.

If you think PLO is just a post flop game then you will be a losing player. It's a complete game, pre and post flop.

This is rubbish. Raising preflop in pot-limit games is essential in order to make a pot size favorable to get all in by the river. Additionally, 3-betting preflop allows you to make a stack size favorable to stacking off on the flop, which you may want to do if your hand flops strongly. And then there are all the other read dependent reasons to raise/re-raise preflop (knock players out, get initiative, ect.).

These are the types of thoughts new players to no-limit hold'em have. They're very weak-tight. They want to limp in, and make strong hands that are easy to play. And because of this, they're exceptionally exploitable. The same goes for Omaha.

This is good advice. If you have a playable hand you want that flop pot built.

Omaha helps your HE game. HE hurts your Omaha game.

i actually can't remember ever folding a hand in PLO.
it may have happened once or twice?

anyway, i don't think there is anyone in your class at 10-50 PLO.

Omaha is not for sissies. You can be the favorite all the way to the river with 26 outs to the nut hand and still Lady Luck pisses in your beer. Be prepared for some major swings. I play the shallow stack tables to limit that a bit.

my guess of your point is that there isnt many ppl raise preflop. that's true, that's also why short stacking is so hard to be profitable in PLO. I am saying this is the right play for short stacker, not saying it's winning. Because to be winning, you have to find the right table, right players, and hoping them generating the right action for you when you have AAxx.

Never saw a 4 card flop before. And even on a 3 card flop it depends on stack size and your opponents 4 bet call range.

when you miss the flop in PLO, you fold(assuming your remaining stacks are much larger than the pot)
unless you are pretty sure you have 60%+ fold equity.

if 6 or more players see a 9JQK flop, most of the time someone has made the nut straight or have 13+ outs drawing to the nuts, you don't gamble it with overpair

4bet preflop never happened to me in PLO, but i can remember there're cases where most of the table call a 3bet to see the flop, just in microstakes.

wouldn say its easy to beat b/c if it was easy to beat than everybody would be playing it obv.

im guessing it can be beaten though.
