For hand 1. I think 5b and calling are pretty close. His 3b is very low so that's why I prefer to flat. Jamming is bad, we fold out AQ and even JJ because the shove is so big and leaves us in bad shape if we get called.

Otf we're only behind flushes which are unlikely and will stack us anyway unless the board flushes out. We're behind aces and kings. Not many combos there. He continues with a lot of hands here and a lot of those hands have clubs in.

That's why I like shoving, we can get called by FDs and any hand that already beats us will likely stack us anyway.

1. I don't like flatting 4Bets in general but after flop play seems fine.

2. River is definitely a call.

3. More pre. I don't mind flop check, nor the call. We can either bet enough to put the shorty in or not - it isn't a big deal. I don't get the turn bet though? Unless you feel he can't fold KJ/KT and is going to stack with those hands and looking at his stats I don't see that happening. If we check call flop then we should check call turn as well. If we bet flop we can bet turn.

Managed to get it AI preflop vs regs 4 times today. Every time I had AK, and they and QQ. Managed to lose every one lol.

So today I tilted…5 bet K9...against pocket KKs preflop... I take 3 bets way too personal sometimes. It builds up and then just can’t take it. I am posting here so I can be held publicly accountable and learn to handle this tilt. I have both mental game books too. I guess I should actually start reading them.

I think it may lie more in your investment than taking it personal, but of course I don't know.

A general problem, though, is that people might put in a raise and then refuse to give up because of their representation of their hand + their investment and they believe that the other person should "just fold!" because of how strong they're repping.

I'm currently grinding speed 5nl on ipoker. I'm definitely not crushing but I'm working my ass off trying to get to 10nl. This is the first time I have ever attempted a proper cash grind on my own br but hopefully I will have some positive things to share here in the near future! :D

This is pretty accurate. I feel like this when I have JJ+. I just got to make more folds. Sounds easy but mentally hard to do sometimes.

All right so I've been having the worst runbad (I think) perhaps ever. Been tilting some, although my last two sessions I felt like I played beast with absolutely zero spew whatsoever. And I plan to keep it that way. Just curious about ways to possibly improve my preflop game, particularly for Zoom tables, because I'm getting absolutely shat on in PFAI spots. Just using the standard AK/QQ+ range and I've yet to win one AI out of the last three days or so. Now I dunno if people are folding/flatting their AK to 3Bets pre, perhaps I am simply running bad, or I need to adjust by tightening up in these spots. Either way I'll be wanting to get a sweat session on the go or something as I'm now dropping to 5NL because I get buttraped so hard by the regfish at 10NL. Despite me shitting all over them postflop I'm still losing mahoosively. Haven't looked at PT4 cause I'm scared :(

Can anyone recommend a decent headset to buy for sweat session? (Amazon etc.)

Played a hand a few orbits earlier with him where he min 3Bet from the SB with 52o vs my MP open. Can't remember the details postflop in that previous hand but safe to say he is a fish. Didn't feel he could do this with a Q alone so it's either 76 or a bluff, occasionally some other trashy two pair or set as well I suppose. Definitely think an unknown fish on Zoom can spazz river when he misses with AK/FD's etc and his turn sizing aligns pretty well with hands that I beat OTR. Anyone agree/disagree?

That's incredibly similar to the JJ hand I posted yesterday in my thread, I called too so I don't think it's bad lol, it's probably quite close though. Reasons I called were the same, busted draws and Qx doesn't bet that strong (probably)

AA: looks like a call but been zoom expecting see TJ/QQ a lot.
JJ: i'm snap folding on zoom, calling on reg tables.

AK/QQ flat to 3b's more than gii on zoom vs regs on 5-10nl, but the best you can do is just switch to reg tables.

Although wtf i know i just click buttons:eek:

I'm so glad for that. If the both of us had lost I'd have to start questioning my play.

@scourrge, in the AK hand the deeper stacked villain can certainly call with worse. The flop all-in was like 1/3 pot maybe 1/2. Not sure, haven't looked back at the hand. Either way a king would continue as would at least one straight draw. Imo we bet the turn there.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but there are arguments for betting the turn. It's not black and white. I think too frequently players look at hindsight. Yes, if villain shoves we are almost never good but that's not a reason to not bet the turn. Once he has shoved we basically have to call off unless we know he's a super standard reg.

Sorry was gone on work trip, but... I didn't say not to bet the turn so that we avoid a jam, and it wasn't why I thought it, either. I don't see how we're getting much value. His range should be relatively elastic, there's a locked up main pot so we tend to isolate ourselves against the top of his range by betting. He's going to play fit-or-fold in this pot so we can often just check and evaluate based on sizing and how we think he'd play draws.
