I have a lot of them. I am an avid reader of almost anything. The best poker book that I've read lately for Texas Holdem is "Little Green Book" by Phil Gordon. If you read this book there will be an improvement of your game.
For 7 stud the best book that I have read is "7 Card Stud 42 Lessons" by Roy West.
For just overall poker it's "Poker 101 Ways to Win" by Andy Nelson.

Andy Nelson also wrote a book on 7 Stud Hi/Lo that is short, but very helpful to get you to shift gears from 7 Stud to 7 Stud Hi/Lo.

Haven't read yet but I know they're good.

There's 3 books that I got and haven't read yet cause I've set goals.

1st- Was to do all the PS free course.

2nd- Is to finish the: Become a Winning Poker Player in 30 Days, here at CC.

3rd- Is: Poker Work Book for Math Geeks by Doug Hull.

4th- Is: Grinders Manual by Peter Clarke.

And last that probably won't be is: The Mental Game of Poker by Jared Tendler.

This is of course a list that will grow bigger and bigger.

I still want to learn way more about GTO and all.

But there it is, the books I'll read and was recommended to.

Only when I begin to play, I watched the many different TV Poker Shows and Events...:smile:
Now I only watch the Poker streams sometimes... But basically this is not easy

Hello! Recently I started playing poker online and quickly found out that poker as a game is not as simple as I first thought and that, in fact, there is a lot to master. So was wondering, what poker books you found very helpfull and allowed you to improve your play considerably?

In addition I'd recommend mastering small stakes no limit hold'em by Jonathan Little & Modern Poker theory by Michael Acevedo if you wanna get really deep into theory.

Moorman's book of poker it's written differently than the others you get a hand and then some analysis is quite an interesting concept, its an old book but it helped me also I like Mental game of poker or The theory of poker by David Sklansky

I don't read any books. I read a little different, once upon a time, but decided that the main thing was practice, discipline and a quick process of recuperation after a long tournament. Not everyone can have enough rest, because they need to go to work. Then again there is no strength and this greatly affects the quality of the game.

I think that is a good start.

Perfect, I just would add Super System by Doyle Brunson.

Phil helmuth JR . Play poker like the pros. Its an interesting point of view, dfferent form what I have ever seen. Really good in some particular situations

I have only ever read "The theory of poker" by David Sklansky. It is probably outdated these days, and most of its information can probably be found online for free in articles/tips etc.
