PokerStars “All In Cash Out” Feature

I didn't see any more nonsense than that, and I don't know why they introduced this option ... it happened to me that I accidentally clicked that cash out option and got some money back, but I got out of hand and if I got stronger, all the money went to opponents ... stupid no bigger ...

Sometimes I use it and I'm still not sure if it suits or not. When the equity is much higher than that of the villain, between 80 and close to 100% it may be convenient to accept, we dodge the variance and make sure of our share of the pot. When it's less than 80%, I tend to risk taking more. It has also happened to me that, with an equity of 97%, I did not make the cashout because I thought that I could not lose that hand and the variance made me lose money that was almost the total pot.

Just for clarification the feature is now also available at stakes higher than 10NL. And yeah I use it sometimes, when the pot is big, and I am not in the mood to get sucked out on or see, who gets lucky in a coin flip situation. You can call it tilt management, if you will

I want to thank all grinders for getting involved in the post. I still haven't activated the feature but will be trying it today during my session. In particular, using the above 80% Equity strategy. Would still like to hear more thoughts on whether it is good or bad for the game. I'm 50 / 50.

In my opinion it has almost no influence on the game. So many other things are way more important including the relatively new 4 table cap and the virus related lockdowns.

Yeah, it's not a big deal, I disabled this useless feature from day 1.
And 4 tables are still better than 3 tables cap at 888poker.

I'm using this feature a lot.

Everytime I 'should' make profit, I now do, with a 1% fee deducted. I'll take that against variance. I only have a small bankroll and I want to build it. When my AA gets cracked, it takes a long time to make that buy in back. I'll take the win everytimr.

I don't think it affects the game at all at .1-.2 where I am playing.

off losing to JJ’s when I was AA’s I’ll definitely use it again.

I think that is a good thing to cash game. Sometimes its a matter of time to us adapt and dont will be a prejudicial think to a poker cash game.

I think this feature is really awesome. I'm ahead, im all in at a 2-1 fav,i cashed out, fish hit and didnt cashed out , we are now both deepstacks =) . Let me echo this in your head.

I rarely play cash games. I prefer to play Tournaments, Sit and Go and spin and go. However, evaluating the comments of colleagues who play cash, I realize that this option is good for everyone. But it is better for PokerStars, as it creates a side bet, between the Poker room and the table players, in which it does not bet anything but will win its share. On the other side are the players: one will pay a fee to redeem the bet and the other will stop winning a part of the pot. However, for players there is no long-term disadvantage as the feature favors both.

When you play micro stakes against a table of calling stations it is definitely wise to use cash out unless you want to end up on tilt. Every time I go in ahead the board deals a miracle. I always use it now. Better to get 90% of the pot than lose 100% to an idiot.

PokerStars does not lose money if no one withdraws. Just stop winning. Because the room does not put money on the bet.

Never used cash out before but reading this comment changed my mind. Yesterday I was with KK the Villain Call with K3s I didn't take cash out and came a straight on the flop chopping the pot. I was at NL2 and ended up losing money! I guess was the rake

my opinion on pokerstar all in cashout feature

I enabled the pokerstars all in cashout feature to play cash game in pokerstars... I think it is a good thing to enable this feature because it gives you the option to take the money according to your percentage probability of winning the hand... Also it protects you against bad beats.. For example, I will always cash out if I have a 90% or better probability of winning the hand because I do not lose much from cashing out in case I win but if that 1,2,3, or 4 outer from the other all in rival is hit I can lose all the pot. This feature gives more control to the player....

My rule for this feature is if EV is more than 50%, cashing out until turn, or preflop, is a nice option to protect your stack, and prevents "bad beats". Remember, if one player cashing out, the other one who remains in the hand, is playing against the house, AND YOU KNOW WHAT THATS MEAN.

I never used to use the cash out feature.. But now I do in only one situation. Which is when shoving preflop with pocket Aces.

Its happened so many times at the micros, I open raise or 3 bet, someone either 3 or 4 bets me, I shove and they always seem to call.

Of course I dont get as much value as I could have alot of the time.. But when im winning this spot 100% of the time, I think this makes it a no brainer... However I am more than happy to be proved wrong by someone who is smarter than me! :beerglass

I used to have it enabled but didn't like the distraction, especially if I was multi-tabling. So I just turned it off. I figure if I made the correct decision in the first place I don't need to second guess it now that I know I guessed right. Shouldn't be playing for that 2% magical river card anyway, although lots do.

Think the feature is good for recreationals, but for anyone trying to take their game seriously they need to understand just how thin edges are in poker and voluntarily paying a 1% fee will just slowly eat into your profits. If you find getting sucked out on hurts your mental game then working on those leaks are better than paying for variance insurance which if you play enough hands over the long term will even out anyway.

IMO this is the equivalent of insurance or taking even money on a BJ in blackjack -you're "paying" for a chance to hedge against a possible better hand. There's a reason every Blackjack book says this is almost always a bad idea, it's because in the long run the 1% premium on cashing out will eat you over a long enough sample.

That being said if you're playing scared money, then this is a good option for you to save your bank roll in the short term as long as it's not a long term habit. Personally I disabled this feature as soon as it came out last year.

I haven’t play at PokerStars for a year and with the cash out option it’s what I predicted would happen from my post one year ago. It’s harder to bluff another player all in before the river cause they know once they go all in, they have cash out option and more willing to call or even all in reraise. What a difference PLO zoom is from a year ago. Now no one is afraid to fold There is way more action. I haven’t seen a fold in PLO zoom If you have equity you will go all in. Same with short deck.
