Good sweat session last night. I thought Orzo played solid and hopefully he booked a decent win. Quiet session but the AQ hand above was interesting. We looked at his turn stats and he didn't fold much to a 2nd barrel so we decided to check call the turn instead, mainly so we don't and get shoved on on the turn.thankfully the spade dropped in on the river. We wanted to know if betting the turn was better in this spot with our nut flush draw and gutshot.

Pre-flop, with effective stack sizes where they are I like a bigger 3-bet. To at least 20 bbs here. C-bet is probably pretty neutral EV here. The turn is really close. I mean an A can't be a clean out here so it's probably a fold only having 10 outs + 1 for an Ace, and only 38 let behind.

No, I'd be check/ folding the turn. If he's tight, and he's in a 3-bet pot and he's called the flop, he's not folding the turn often enough to make it worth it. He doesn't need to fold very much if we do the math, but I think he's almost never folding. He doesn't have the odds to call the turn because we can't count on always getting paid, especially if the spade drops as it did and he folds. Maybe 75% of the time you get paid when you do hit on the river, so it still makes it fold only getting 2.6:1 on the turn, and maybe with 10.5-11 outs.

No, you need more like 3.2:1 to call. 1.6:1 if you were all-in on the flop.

It was all on skype the other night, the call held up well and it seems fine for small groups but in my previous experience Skype can be unstable at times.
Until recently I was signed up to coach who used google hangouts to give a once a month webinar. It seemed a very stable platform but I have no knowledge of how to set it up. I was just emailed a link which took me to the webinar.
We need to look into setting up a hangouts room, as John is doing us all a favour by giving us his time it would be better for this group to get it up and running.

Yes, stop.

You're missing a ton of value in these hands, and obviously starting to tilt. Maybe play some MTT's or switch it up.

In this hand, you should be betting $3 on the flop, at least $6+ on the turn, and I'd bet fold the river, because he doesn't have KT/AT or AK at this point, so if he shoves, he has a flush.

This is a common theme still in most of your hands, so I'd make efforts to really think about it after you take a break. You need to get this part correct if you want to move up.

Just take a little bit of a break then. Maybe play some MTT's or S&G instead just to switch it up for a bit.

You can beat these limits. You just need to accept that you will make bets against someone's range that you will lose, and that's ok. You have to keep making those bets and sizes though. That's the important key.

What sizes are currently used, Flop turn River and how is it affected by different variables

If you bet 50% Flop, 60% Turn, 60% River does it change based on texture, position, player and stack sizes.

Also would you change based on your hand or does that give the strength of your hand away unless you balance it like maybe bet 40% River sometimes as a blocker and sometimes to induce a bluff

I guess with 3 bets and 4bets there is more maths involved

Overall are there too many variables to give a definitive answer

Rhom you just about answered your own questions.
You seem to be thinking very rigidly though, your bet sizing can vary enormously depending on the player type and board texture.
If I've got TPTK and a wet flop I'm betting much bigger for protection/value. If they want to draw they can pay through the nose to do so.
River bets can be massive overshoves for value against calling stations.

John was recently talking he about min raising the turn for a cheaper showdown and in first hand T7 I think it looks the correct thing to do. As played we call 5bb on the turn and then another 8.8 on the river. If we minraise the turn 10bb he calls and in all likelihood checks the river saving us 2.8bb on the hand.
In this hand he had a FD and wasn't folding the turn but there will be other occasions where he gives up with 2nd/3rd pair and air which can all still go on to outdraw us on the river so it has to be a better line.

I'd raise the flop to see a cheaper showdown in this hand. If you raise the flop he is nearly always calling on the flop and checking to you on the turn, then you can check behind and see the river for free. The other reason to raise is if the spade arrives on the turn we aren't getting much value out of him there after.
As played I don't bluff on the end. He 3bet an utg opening from the SB. His range is strong and you are rarely folding out over pairs here when the spade doesn't arrive. How many 6 or 9 in your UTG range? Very few and an easy call for an overpair.
