If I wanna play low stakes and try to slowly build a bankroll which would be more profitable?

If you're willing to be patient the answer is definitely regular tables. Zoom games are generally tighter and your winrate will be reduced due to this. Even weaker players end up fast folding hands that they would usually play at regular tables.

The advantage of zoom is that you can get more hands in per hour but doing so comes at a cost and you're likely to experience larger monetary swings due to your lower winrate when playing zoom. The lower winrate combined with the increased speed of the games also means that you're more likely to tilt.

I would advise you to play regular tables, keep the number of tables low, focus on taking notes and game selecting well. Once you've built your bankroll up a bit and feel more confident in your game you can dip your toe into zoom and see if it's a better fit for you.

Personally, I mix it up and play both. However, I generally play more regular tables rather than Zoom. You're able to absorb more information on regular tables, which
(generally) leads to making better decisions. I tried playing 6 max Zoom on a small roll which ended up punting my bankroll off. Therefore, I'd stick to regular tables until your bankroll can sustain the swings involved in Zoom.

If you're looking for faster and more aggressive without risking as much, maybe try playing 6max ring games instead of full ring.

Goodluck building your bankroll!

I would avoid zoom until you have more money and experience.

With zoom, the swings are going to be crazy.

first lets talk about win rate. in regular games the win rate tends to be higher. which mean less variance overall which translate into less and shorter downswings over the long term.

if building a roll is your objective, i would go with regular games.

that being said, if for X reasons, you already built several bankroll in the past and/or know your beasting micros ( over big sample 100k+), well you could go with zoom, since you will get in a higher volume in shorter time.

personally i prefer to play full ring, then 6max, both regular game. you can table select vs pure fish and keep building that roll steadily. one advantage with full ring is that you can multitable easily.

thats it for me... good luck out there

zoom is just weird for me, i'd rather stay in cash game and multi table in micro stakes or a bit higher stakes and focus on one table

If I wanna play low stakes and try to slowly build a bankroll which would be more profitable? I feel like in a regular game you can try to play the players a little more and you can get in on more flops but in zoom games you might as well just wait for a monster before getting in a pot.

Which do most people prefer?

Zoom poker is a joke. Don't waste your time/money. You'll just get sucked out on by worse hands and get disappointed. Stay on regular tables and let the degens play BINGO with Zoom.

Zoom tables - less info about opponents, hard to monitore lobby, vacuum situations. I prefer regular tables

I would avoid Zoom also, unless you're short on time an feel like gambling with a few quick hands, regular table games are the way to go if you have the time..
Otherwise you're facing most ppl on there that only play monsters

From the cash games, I usually play at zoom. I prefer zoom because it is faster game and it is more exciting. You can see more hands in the same time and you do not need to wait when you get a pair you are not interested!

you can earn cash in both format. just zoom is higher variance. so if you try to build a bankroll it might not be the best. unless you can reload easily. in that case go for zoom. u can get lucky and run it up fast.

but if you wanna safer bankroll building, and practice read, table image, and exploiting. u gotta go normal format.

Before that, only regular tables played, now only zoom tables.
There is not enough free time to play regular tables.

should regular cash game but I prefer zoom games

I have played both of them and in my opinion zoom games is a little bit harder cause other player don't have to wait too much for a good hand they can always make a fast fold until they get the hand they wish so it is a little bit easier for other players play a bit tight and due to this is gonna be more difficult play and take away their money, on the other hand, regular cash games is a little bit easier cause is a bit harder for other player get a really good hand so they decide to play most of the hands they shouldn't and just because they get bored and want some action playing poker so it is easy take advantage of that situation and always we can sit next to a fish or next to someone that doesn't play poker at all and take away his or her money.

Regular cash game tables, way softer and more profitable, focus on getting better first to be able to beat stakes u are playing for sure, then just add more tables as you go and as you feel comfortable with playing without losing focus/not being able to play ur best.

i love zoom ( or zone) play, but, i have always had a net loss. I make it up in other games, but i really struggle with it (only play ignition where it is anonymous, so maybe that is a struggle for me as well)

Don't play Zoom.
Your mission is to identify the weak players. You don't have time to do this in fast fold games.

I remember how pissed I was when I first played zoom, lol. I tried to get a read on others, but I kept getting moved :)
I don't hate my money enough to play zoom.
